"Miss M, link us up." Nightwing said looking over the beach where the Comsat was stationed at. The teams job was to protect it and keep Black Manta and Kaldur'ahm's forces from destroying it. Artemis joined us for the mission... it was important that she did.

"Link established." She responded mentally. I heard everyone else come in the conversation. Everyone else being Nightwing, Artemis, La'gaan, Superboy, and myself.

"Good. Begin aerial sweep of the cape's perimeter. Nike will join you." Nightwing said.

"Hey boss, I'd be happy to join my angelfish on that assignment." La'gaan said and I knew he had a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes and took off into the sky to do rounds with Miss M.

"Negative Lagoon Boy. You're right where I need you giving me maximum coverage. In the water, on land, and in the air." Nightwing said.

"In case there's any attempt at sabotage." I added.

"And so I'm stereotyped as the water guy, again. Meanwhile she flies the friendly skies along with super ex-boyfriend. Neptune's beard!" La'gaan complained.

"Well you are Atlantian... unless you want to trade me. But last I checked: I can't breathe underwater and you can't fly. Suck it up." I said rolling my eyes for the hundredth time. I heard Nightwing and Artemis stifle laughter in the mental link.

"Neptune's Beard!" La'gann spat.

After flying in the skies, Miss M had me go back to Nightwing and Artemis for more ground support. I landed and my hand brushed Nightwing's and he grabbed it and gave it a squeeze before releasing.

"I know I'm not Wally's favorite person right now, but it is nice to have you back." Nightwing said to Artemis. I nodded in agreement.

"It's nice to be back. I didn't realize how much I'd been missing it. Which is pretty much exactly what Wally's afraid of." Artemis said playing with her bow.

I sighed. This will not be easy.

"He's worried the rush that comes with the mask will get its hooks in and I won't give it up until my dying day." Arty said. No matter how soon it may be.

Nightwing and I shared a look.

"We know exactly what you mean."

"Whoa. Heads up minnows.
We got bad guys. Black Manta's troopers working some kind of platform beneath the surface just offshore." La'gaan said.

"Good eye Lagoon Boy." I said. From what we could see, the water was still. That wasn't the case under the waves.

"I'm taking taking them down. Ahoy there!" I heard him say. No no!

"Wait for backup." Nightwing and I said in unison.

"I'll scrounge a re-breather from the cargo hold and help the rookie out." Superboy said. Oh he shouldn't have said that, I thought pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Rookie! Neptune's beard! I don't need any help from the boy of steel." La'gaan sneered. He will get caught for sure.

"Lagoon Boy! Stand down!" Nightwing said, his frustration showing.

"Sorry. Kkssk You're breaking up. Krchkk"

"There's no static on a psychic link!" Nightwing yelled mentally.

"Company!" Artemis yelled.

"Superboy. You have that re-breather?" I asked getting ready to jump into action.
