Hey guys, apologies for the long wait for an update but college work comes first I guess. I've also been planning some parts for this story so I'm very excited to finally unveil it. The oneshot book isnt over so don't worry. Hope you guys enjoy. ^_^

Arceus stirred in his celestial slumber, the last time he woke up he had been restored to full power when the Jewel of Life was returned. Now the Alpha Pokemon was waking again...but this time it was because of the rising threat.

"It has been aeons, Obliternus my old nemesis. Just what are you doing down there?" He thought solemnly, he collected his thoughts and contemplated as the particles of creation swirled around him in a more excited manner than usual.

Faintly, an echo could be heard across the cosmos. The Omega was rising...

Ash and his friends happily continued their journey across the Kalos Region. Time progressed just like any normal day, nothing majorly exciting until the ripples started.

The group walked along chatting about many things. Bonnie and Serena talked about different ways to groom their Pokemon companions as well as possible outfits for Serena's Pokemon showcases.

"I'm telling you, an aqua blue, it would really bring out your eyes, they would sparkle like the ocean." Bonnie cheerily exclaimed. She was happy to talk about this with Serena who essentially played a big sister role in her life. "Thanks Bonnie, I just like the idea of Auburn. It has a certain flare to it." Serena smiled.

Serena knew Bonnie was the only one to talk to due to the boys having no sense of fashion. She didn't mean any harm by that thought and its not that they didnt look good. It was just Clemont is a scientist but Serena never could understand why he wore a onesie in the boiling summer sun. Ash doesnt look too bad either, especially in her eyes. But she wasn't gonna tell him that, he was dense emotionally and fashionably but Serena didn't care what he looked like.

Bonnie smirked mischievously being aware of her "big sis'" love struck attitude to the dense raven haired teen. "Oh, I know why you like auburn." She said gesturing her head towards Ash. "Shhhh, Bonnie not so loud." Serena warned with a slight blush. Bonnie chuckled and continued to walk ahead of the boys with Serena.

Ash and Clemont were having a very different conversation mostly because they were both engrossed in battle strategy. Clemont being a gym leader gave him plenty of experience in the field. Ash had travelled around many different regions so its almost a perfect pairing when it comes to battle.

"Ash, you do have to think about type matchups at some point, Greninja's power will only get you so far." The spectacled gym leader advised. Ash gave him his famous toothy grin. "Yeah, I know but I just really wanna unlock its potential. We are getting stronger every time we use his new form. I feel myself become stronger with him."

Both duos continued their conversations for a couple minutes more. Serena and Bonnie had slowed down their pace to let the boys catch up (much to Clemont's relief) but moments later, Pikachu and Dedenne perked up their ears. (A/N I'm removing Squishy from this context.) Some strange noise seemed to have got their attention or maybe something was about to happen.

Both the mouse Pokemon frowned and growled. "Hey buddy, what's up?" Ash queried his yellow companion resting on his shoulder with a scowl. Moments later, a strange pulse of energy rippled through the area.

This was what they had sensed. This ripple was an energy unlike any they had felt. The pulse was so powerful, it knocked Serena and Bonnie off their feet and backwards.

Ash was quick to react, sliding forwards and catching the honey blonde in his arms mere inches from the floor despite being dazed himself.

Clemont mimicked these actions and stopped Bonnie hitting the floor. "You ok Serena?" Ash asked a couple of inches from the side of Serena's. face. She looked up at him after recovering and felt his warm breath on her lips. She immediately went red and turned away. "Yep, I'm great, just great." She said nervously trying to hide her blush from Ash who was mostly focused on her wellbeing and how cute she looked...

Clemont lifted Bonnie to her feet and both girls brushed themselves off. Before anymore words could be exchanged, a sudden mass gathering of Pokémon occurred. They paid the group no mind, there was so many different species and they all appeared to be doing the sane thing. Running away from the epicentre of the pulse.

After a few long seconds, the silence returned to their side when all the Pokemon were out of sight. "What was that about?" Ash said with slight concern.

"It seemed to come from that direction." Clemont pointed out urgently. The group nodded and began running in the direction the Pokemon appeared to be fleeing.

After a few minutes of running they eventually came across a girl who was unmoving and sprawled up against a tree. Ash instinctively ran to her aid alongside Serena.

Ash knelt down next to the girl who appeared to be whispering something in her unconscious state. "Obliternus rises...only the 18...two so close, so close." She uttered almost fearfully. Ash didnt have any clue what the girl was talking about. Was Obliternus a Pokemon? Who or what were the 18? He decided to focus on the current crisis.

When he backed away from the girl, Serena kneeled down herself to check on this mysterious stranger herself. Not a second after Serena kneeled did this girl spring on to her like a proximity trap. Ash stated his concern but he could not do a thing.

Serena hated looking in this girls eyes, they screamed pain as if that's all they ever lay eyes on, now they were trying to make her share that pain. The girl gripped Serena's shoulders and she did not resist even though she wanted to. "Gather them, the only chance or all you hold dear swallowed in a pit of unending darkness!" The girl cried out before collapsing into Serena's arms.

Ash put his hand into Serena's to snap her out of her fearful expression, he didnt know why but he just did. "Hey, you alright?" She eyed him for a few moments before she answered. "Yeah, I'm fine...just a little shaken." She said with a sweet, reassuring smile to not worry him.

"We can't just leave her like this." Bonnie chimed in. The other two sweatdropped completely forgetting about their blonde friends presence. They quickly let go of each others hands and Ash helped prop up the girl right arm while Serena did her left.

They left her to rest in the girls tent. After a few hours, she emerged still wearing her unique pinkish garment. It resembled that of what certain psychics wore which seemed strange but they didnt bring it up.

She came over to the group and thanked them for their help. "My names Sabine." She said. "I thank you for your assistance." Her voice seemed to stay monotone, emotionless like she was expecting all of this. Her next words shocked the group.

Her attention turned to Ash and Serena who were slightly uncomfortable. "You are the ones known as Ash and Serena correct?" Sabine managed to say still in an emotionless monotone. Ash and Serena both looked shocked.

"How do you know our-" "There is time for such trivial matters later. For now we have much to discuss because the fate of reality could hang in the balance..."

Ok guys, this was the first chapter of my big planned story. A little short but they will get longer, these first few chapters are about establishing. Who is Sabine really? What does she mean about the fate of reality? How are Ash and Serena connected? Find out in the next one. Hope you enjoyed.
