"Greninja, come out!" Ash called as he brought out the aquatic frog Pokemon. "Braixen, Pancham, Sylveon, let's go!" Serena yelled releasing her Pokemon as well. "Bunnelby, Chespin and Luxray, I need your help!" Clemont shouts with urgency.

With all their Pokemon out, everyone took to a battle ready stance. "Bonnie stay next to me ok?" Clemont muttered to his younger sister. The spirits of the damned, of humans and Pokemon alike, littered the world around them. Greninja took a small glance towards Braixen and then to Serena, he sensed something in Serena much how Braixen sensed something in Ash when she looked over.

Then the two Pokemon nodded to each other. "Everyone, you take care of the Pokemon, I will try to deal with Lucian!" Sabine shouted, the screams of the deceased nearly drowning her out in their undead shroud.

Lucian glowed a dark purple, his eyes gleamed a withering shade of purple to. The graves around him leaked an aura of sick energy similar to his. He gave a merciless chuckle. "You will deal with me girl? You cannot comprehend the power I wield, the gift I have been given. Look around you, the very spirits themselves bow to my will!" As if in agreement, all of the ghost Pokemon yelled out in agreement, a cacophony of howling wails from the humanoid spirits joined them.

"Maybe so Lucian. Maybe so. But lets see just how well you can control your new abilities." Her smirk grew but she lacked her normal confidence. She realised she was at a certain kind of disadvantage and hoped Lucian hadn't realised it.

"Sabine, are you sure about this?" Clemont yelled to her. He knew what was making her slightly nervous. She turned back and gave him a small smile, her black hair began to rise slightly as she began activating her own abilities. "Clemont... Trust me."

And with that, the calm atmosphere was shattered like a weakened window. Lucian rose his arm. When he cast it forward he held his hand in as if he was reaching out. "Go, please the harbinger with an offering of their lives!" He gestured to Ash and everyone else. All of the ghost Pokemon either surged forward or melted into the shadows to prepare for an attack at a different angle.

Lucian shifted his lifeless gaze to Sabine once more. His voice more prominent then raspy now he simply said "Come then warrior of the light, make your own case." Sabine notices something in his tone. Perhaps a hint of hesitance? She had no time to think about it as Lucian sent what looked like a shadow ball at her. She countered by launching a grave at Lucian with her psychic power. The human like spirits also converged on her. A battle of shadow balls, grave shaped projectiles and charging spirits ensued.

On the other side of the battle, Ash, Serena and Clemont were trying their hardest to combat the onslaught of ghost types. "Pikachu use thunderbolt on that Gastly horde. Greninja use water shuriken on that Gengar!" As a group of around 5 or 6 Gastlys careened towards Pikachu, the small mouse Pokemon released a bolt of lightning which engulfed them all knocking out the gaseous spirits instantly.

Greninja smacked his sides and created two water shurikens and launched them at a Gengar half melded into the floor. The Pokemon got launched backwards phasing through a grave. It struggled to get up but then it to fell to the ground fainted.

Serena was also holding her own. She had Braixen, Pancham and Sylveon all in a triangle defending her. "Braixen flamethrower, keep them at bay." Braixen released a scorching flamethrower which lit up the night. She knocked out Duskull and Haunter alike with those searing flames. "Sylveon, use fairy wind as hard as you can, Pancham Dark Pulse in a radius."

Her Pokemon followed her commands to the letter but there seemed to be no end to the ghost Pokemon. Clemont took out a squad of Yamask with a pin missile and Mudshot combination between Bunnelby and Chespin. Then he looked over at Sabine.
