Lumiose City glittered in the dusk light. On the outskirts of the city the air was clear, the sky was orange and the peace was stable. Until the atmosphere crackled a few feet off the ground.

A small dim purple light fizzled into existence and floated for a moment. Then it expanded rapidly into a cacophony of sparks and psychic energy. At the center of the energy mass, Sabine, followed by Ash, Serena and then Bonnie and Clemont all materialized in a flash of green and blue.

Letting out a shout they all fell to the ground below with a resounding thud. "Ouch, Sabine you could of got us a bit closer to the ground you know!" Bonnie complained while rubbing her back. "You ok Dedenne?" She whispered reaching in her bag. Dedenne lay asleep as if nothing happened. 'Typical.'

Clemont hushed her and then looked at Sabine who was also recovering from their bumpy ride. He then noticed his hand interlocked with hers still and quickly retracted it, a blush creeping up on his face. Serena saw this and giggled at her friend being so flustered.

Then she looked at Ash at the same time as he glanced at her. They both seemed relatively unfazed compared to Bonnie and Clemont. Sabine had already fully recovered to. They both looked down and saw their hands also still interlocked.

Both of them pulled away, Serena more frantically then Ash. She felt awkward how long they were holding hands. She began blushing a deeper shade of red then Clemont and she was happy when Ash hadn't noticed. "Uh sorry Serena..."

Or maybe he did... "No its nothing." Ash got up and offered his hand to Serena after checking Pikachu who was also not too fussed. She smiled and accepted. Ash retracted his hand to make sure she didnt go red again. There was something about that that always made him feel warm, something in his chest tugged at him...

He decided to ignore it for the time being. "So Sabine, what's first?" Clemont said helping Bonnie to her feet. They all looked around. Apparently they landed just outside a small park. The swings lazily swayed like chained pendulums.

The slide was old and rusted, Bonnie knew this wasn't a park she would want to play in. "We are close. I can sense a flicker of the ghost elementals power. Its small, as if it is faded from use." She scanned the area ahead in a 180 degree arc. "Be ready, we dont know what the elemental is capable of. "

Ash looked in the same direction as Sabine. "If I were someone with the powers of a ghost elemental, where would I go...?" He thought aloud. Everyone sweatdropped at his action. After a few moments he noticed them all looking at him unamused. "What?"

"It's not hide and seek Ash." Bonnie chuckled. "We should get moving." Sabine said from a distance. Somehow she had seemed to move about 20ft forward without any of them realising. They ran to catch up to her.

The outskirts of Lumiose City were very ominous near dusk. Even Clemont and Bonnie felt strangely tense in their home city. The only source of light seemed to flicker in the distance. It was Prism Tower peaking over all the buildings threading its light into the sky like a needle.

Seeing the building gave Serena a slight sense of vertigo. Seeing Ash jump off that beast was one of the most terrifying moments of her life and she wasn't even fully sure it was him at the time. She glanced at the raven haired boy next to her.

She couldn't help but blush at the thought of just how much he cared about everything. It takes one incredible person to jump from a killer height to save his closest companion. And she definitely thought he was incredible. "If something bad happens to me, what lengths will he go to to try and save me?"

She smiled inward about the idea of Ash racing in, her heroic black haired knight rescuing her from peril. "I will be here for him no matter what, if I really do have the powers of an elemental, I will do whatever I can to help Ash, help everyone." Her confidence began to grow, she was becoming accustomed to their monumental task.
