Ancient Origins: A Power Divided

Character Origins: Sabine Wolfhart

Hey guys, so this is a chapter type I plan on incorporating for each of the elementals to give them some more contextual backstory. I have so many ideas for this but I just need to find ways to incorporate them.

The group of friends made their way back into the city after a new member joined the team. Lucian, the ghost elemental's descendant, has decided ,with a tad of reluctance, to join them on their quest. They barely know anything about one another, though this will soon change for a certain individual who is perhaps the most mysterious of the group.

In the Pokémon Center of Lumiose City, everyone was seated in a pair of booths. Ash and Serena were in one pair of seats while Lucian and Sabine were in the opposite pair of seats across the table. Bonnie and Clemont were behind Ash and Serena in the opposite booth looking over. Bonnie seemed to be keeping her distance for some reason...

"So Lucian, where do you come from? Are you a trainer?" Ash asked with a raised eyebrow. He was thinking of the pokemon who had been taken in for treatment after the incident in the graveyard. Even Pikachu was parted from his shoulder to be properly checked over.

Lucian had a similar attitude to Sabine in the sense that he acted fairly emotionless until he trusted people. He seemed to trust Sabine after she helped expel Obliternus' poison from his mind. "I am not a trainer but to be honest Ash, I would like to know more about the rest of you, in particular Sabine." He replied gesturing to his right. Sabine looked at him curiously and then at the others.

Serena spoke next. "Actually, I would like to know more about you to Sabine, whats your story?" The others murmured in various levels of agreement. Bonnie remained silent, her eyes fixed on the groups new addition.

Sabine took a breath. "Very well, I will tell you my origins."

Sabine went on to tell them her story, where she came from and the connection she had to all which was transpiring.

Sabine was always a fun loving young girl when she was a kid. She would play with many pokemon of all types but she seemed particularly drawn to the psychic type pokemon her father had caught in his travels. Her father was a pokemon archaeologist. His official title was Doctor Wolfhart. He had travelled around many regions such as Hoenn, Unova and Alola. However, perhaps his greatest discovery was in the Celestic ruins of the Sinnoh region.

His presence in the ruins was not unheard of. He was just there doing some research on the ruling pokemon of space and time. He was curious how these two entities had a part in the creation of the universe. There was a belief that a third pokemon known as Giratina existed in a parallel dimension called the Distortion World. However, Wolfhart had a different question in mind.

For just how powerful these three deity like pokemon were, what of those who created them? He was also aware of the belief in the Alpha pokemon Arceus. During one of his investigations further into the Celestic ruins than few care to venture, he was delighted to find something about the Alpha Pokémon. A mural of some kind. It wasn't clear what it depicted. 

He put his hand on the mural as he walked to the side with a flashlight in his other hand. He tried to make sense of what the strange language on the bottom was saying. There were some languages he did recognise such as the language of the Unown. Each one kept referencing the same thing. '18 elements, 18 elements.' Wolfhart and no clue what this meant.

He continued to make his way across the mural until it just...stopped. He looked at the edge of the mural. It just cuts off like a letter which was ripped in two. He took a few steps back and looked at the depiction of Arceus. It made up exactly half of the mural. If an entire half of the mural is missing opposite of Arceus, what or who is on the mssing half?
