"When you said the offer was open, i didn't know you meant right now. It's nearly midnight and you want to have a date right now?" Elijah slipped up and said while looking through the menu.

"A date? Interesting." Mike responded back while holding back a chuckle when the boy frowned up and pouted in disappointment. Yea he was disappointed. Maybe he did want to consider this as a date because then his mind will finally be off of the rape and on to something positive. Something positive such as Mike which makes his heart flutter.

"Or not.." Elijah mumbled under his breath and then he gasped when Mike grabbed his hands and had this precious smile.

"A date it is then handsome." Mike kissed Elijah's hand softly and winked playfully until the waiter came to take their orders.

"I'm just curious to know, what happened the day you bumped into me and you was crying. I really honestly thought I was the cause of it so i felt super guilty but now that I know that it wasn't me, who was the jackass that did." Mike asked while gritting his teeth together. Elijah eyes widened because how serious Mike's look. It wasn't even that big of a deal minus the fact that Rayan accused him of being a slut, he had an anxiety attack, and passed out due to being overwhelmed other than that, it was just a simple bad day to him.

"It was just a bad day Mike..I promise. You know how everybody has those bad days, I had one of them. It's okay. I'm okay now you see." Elijah smiled softly.

His smile wasn't real though. Well it was but it wasn't his happy smile. He wasn't happy. He couldn't be happy when he doesn't know who hurt him and just nothing really makes him happy anymore. He just disguises it because he doesn't want Jacob to worry and he doesn't want to concern other people that possibly care about him which isn't much. The one thing thay lingers on his mind is what Jaden told him at the grocery store that day. Did that mean that, it was somebody he knows.

Did that mean it was Jacob?

That thought quickly left his mind as soon as it came because he was not about sit here and play the blame game when he's not forsure. He should just wait it out and see what happens when his memory comes back. If it comes back. Not even realizing that he zoned out, Mike grabbed Elijah's hand and squeezed it gently to get his attention. Elijah stopped biting on his nails and blushed in embarrassment that he really zoned out.

"I really don't think you should bite on your nails. People normally do that when they're nervous. Are you nervous around me?" Mike asked and smiled a bit.

"A little." Elijah lied. "Haven't been on a date in a long time because i'm not worth much to these guys so i stopped trying. I don't care though. It's probably not worth it or more like i'm not worth it." Elijah shrugged and sighed.

Mike stared at Elijah for a second and instantly felt empathetic for him. He knew Elijah had to be going through some hard times. He grabbed Elijah's hands once again and smiled softly at him. "Well if it makes a difference, you seem to be worth it to me."

Elijah blushed and pulled his hands away when the food arrived. Mike cracked some jokes as they ate and that was the first time in a while where Elijah enjoyed himself. His mindset was clear and all he could think about was the date he was currently on. His first date in three years and it felt damn good to him.

After dinner, Mike walked him back to the room, gave him a goodnight kiss on the cheek (HA! Y'all thought) and walked away. He also left a little note in pocket of Elijah's ripped jeans. Perhaps a number. Before Elijah had the chance to even open the door, his roommate opened it for him.

"It's about time you come home." He spoke up and rolled his eyes with a tired look. "You have company."

"What..who.." Elijah walked inside and saw Jaden sitting on his bed with a small frown. "Jaden, why are you here? How did you even know this was my room you creep?"

"Blame Myles and Raya's big ass mouths. Honestly you can't tell them shit." Jaden joked as he stepped outside and closed the door to make it a bit more private. "How was your date Elijah?"

"How did you know I was on a date?" Elijah asked with a bit of concern. Can't blame him for that, Jaden sounds like a stalker.

"Jacob told me dumbass."

"FINALLY! Y'all exchanged numbers. My goodness y'all are indenial for y'all feelings." Elijah praised and smiled happily. "Wait hold up his big mouth ass told you i was on a date. Damn. Y'all ain't shit."

"That's not the point! You went on a date with that Mike boy. Michael.."

"Yeah and? Why does it concern you?" Elijah questioned eagerly.

"It doesn't but watch your back." Jaden smirked and began walking away. Elijah quickly followed and quirked his eyebrows.

"No explain what the hell you are talking about Jaden."

"Remember when I told you that the people that are close to you, hurt you the most?"

"Yeah?" Elijah folded his arms and began to get worried. "Why? What's going on?"

"I wouldn't get too close to him if I was you." Jaden walked away leaving Elijah on the edge as to whether he should trust Mike or not.
