Chapter 6 -Biting

*Melodies P.O.V*

I looked down into my lap, my father and I were driving around town. It is the morning after the almost biting with Gregory, I can't believe that after everything he would yell at me like that. I started to cry "Are you okay hun?" my father asked me looking from me to the road and back to me. "Nothing, nothing at all." I said looking up and out the window wiping my face. "Hey, hun, I have an idea but I'll need your help." my father said "What is it?" I asked turning to him he looked at me "Well you're good at makeup, I was hoping you could make fake bites to help me get McAshton on our side." I looked down, I don't want him to get suspicious. "Well?" he asked, why am I trying to protect them, when I offered them my help he turned me away. "Yeah, sure. Take me home I'll do it now." I said, slightly regretting it. We got home "Give me 20 minutes." I said running inside and upstairs, I started to cry as I made the bite. My makeup was streaked down my face, I left it there and grabbed my makeup wipes so I could take off the bite as soon as possible. I run down the stairs and saw my dad sitting down on the couch looking over some gun thing to kill vampires. "Come on." I said, we walked outside and he opened the side morgue like table, he asked me to lay on it for the ride. I layed on the table and he closed it, as I was laying there I changed my mind I didn't want to do this anymore but there is no going back now.

*Slight Time Skip*

I hear the truck come to a stop, I closed my eyes getting ready to be dead. I feel the table being pulled out and hear a gasp and talking. I feel them getting farther and farther away, I hop down and see Tony start to follow them "Oh no." I mumble to myself. I grab a makeup wipe and start to walk after Tony while rubbing the marks off my neck and the dried makeup off my face. I ran into Tony when he was yelling some nonsense to two other boys I ignored it and walked up behind Tony, the other boys ran off and he turned around and yelled at them to crawl and saw me. "Hey, Melodie are you here to help me?" he asked with a huge smile "I don't know bud, let's go back to the front it could be dangerous." he looked at me "Are you still mad at Gregory?" I was shocked "Well-" he cut me off "Just help the rest of his family, they are still good people." he ran off after my father and Lord McAshton. I called after him and asked him to stop running, he ignored me completely. "Tony?!" I ran after him and saw him slowly enter a tomb, "Tony?!" I whisper-yelled "Shh" I hear come from a small catwalk, I grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away from the banister when he slowly fell forward. I got really scared and saw my father accuse him of being a vampire, he started to close a casket on Tony when I yelled out "No, don't!" I ran down and grabbed my fathers arms "Don't he is just a boy, he isn't a vampire, I would know." he looked at me and pushed me away, the casket was almost closed all the way. "How could you, my own daughter becoming a vampire and joining the enemy." he said pulling a stake gun out from behind him "You are no daughter of mine." a stake was shot out of the gun and it hit me in the stomach area. I hunched over in pain and my father left.

*Gregorys P.O.V*

I felt a pain in my chest as I layed there in the basket coffin I decided to use at Tonys house. I missed her and I felt as if something bad has happened to her. I kept thinking about her smile and that sparkle in her eyes every time she got excited or really happy, I thought of her cute little giggle and her constant teasing.

I was pulled away from my thoughts when I hear Anna and Rudolph talking, Anna was saying something about how she heard a whistle, and that it's Tony and he is in trouble. I opened the basket and asked them where they were going Rudolph reached over to shut the basket "Don't, what if Melodie is there, I need to know that she is okay. I have a feeling she's hurt." I said looking at my two siblings. Rudolph looked at Anna as she said "Oh dear brother, we will help you with your dear love. Oh romance." she wooed over romance as I told her to shut up and started to get out of the basket looking around for a way to walk in the sun. I notice a cloak and grab it, I look to Rudolph and he is holding another cloak with a knight helmet, before we left I walked over to my father and gabbed the necklace. We walked outside completely shielded from the sun when we are stopped by Tonys parents, I zoned out while the father was talking to Rudolph and 'Tony' "Who is this?" he asked gesturing to me "That's my brother, my mother didn't want me here alone so I brought my brother along." Rudolph said. "Oh, Alright then, have fun but be careful." he said and walked inside, as we left the property.

*Slight Time Skip*

We finally made it to where Anna said she heard Tony, we all ran inside and looked around "Tony?!" both Anna and Rudolph yelled. We walked across a small catwalk when we heard Tony shouting from an old cement coffin, we run down and push the top off the coffin. "Was Melodie with you?" I asked as he hopped "Yeah, I think she's hurt." I got really worried and started to look around frantically. "..over..here.." I heard whispered gently, I run to the sound around the corner, I was immediately hit with the smell of blood. "Anna, Rudolph go find the amulet with Tony I'll take care of Melodie." I heard them run off, the real reason I didn't want them here is because I didn't want them to hear me cry. I lean down and hold her, she gave me a weak smile "You are not leaving me, I let you leave once, I can't let that happen again." she looked at me "I..care..about..you." she said weakly "But..at..some..point..we..all..have..to..let..go."another weak smile was given when she stopped breathing completely. "No, no. You can't leave, I need you." I said crying trying to shake her awake. "I can't lose you" without thinking I leaned down and bit her, I pulled away very quickly "What have I done?"
