Unthinkable

Chapter 9 - End

*Melodie's P.O.V*

I opened my eyes and slowly raised my head, realizing I was at the cliff I assumed I just fell asleep. I wiped my puffy eyes and stood up, as I made my way home. I kept thinking to myself 'Why did he have to leave? Why can't I just move on?', I feel like I'm being pathetic and I probably am but I just can't get over him.

As I walked through the door to my new home I saw Dottie and Tony getting their shoes on ready to leave the house as Bob was making his way into the front foyer to get ready to leave with his wife and son, I feel so out of place here. I moved fast towards the stairs when Dottie stopped me "Melodie, wait. Would you please come to the market in town with us?" I started to debate her question in my head when Tony came over to me and grabbed my hand, "Please sis, I miss you, I feel like I never get to see or talk to you anymore." (Since I've moved in Tony started to call me his sister.) I looked at him and decided he was right, I slowly nodded my head and gave him a small smile.

We were walking around the market, Tony was playing with a yo-yo while I was looking around trying to entertain myself with something. Dottie looks at me and asks me what I would like to eat at the house, I look at the table full of different fruits and vegetables. I hear whistling come from behind me, I don't think anything of it till I heard running and felt Tony grab my arm and pull me away from the table and to the center of the square. " What is going on To-" I stopped mid sentence I saw Rudolph and Anna coming towards us. I couldn't believe it, I immediately started looking around for Gregory. When I saw him I couldn't stop myself, I ran up to him and engulfed him in a hug, he didn't hesitate hugging me back. "I can't believe it's really you." I said tears were starting to fall down my face. "Well, believe it. I'm here and I will never leave you again." I heard him say, just hearing his voice made the tears fall faster. I pull back a little to see his face, he smiled at me and wiped one of my tears away. He pulled back a little more and took a bite out of an apple, I giggled and pulled him back in for a hug.

* Gregory's P.O.V *

* The Night Before * (This is what Gregory was doing while Melodie was crying by the cliff)

We were moving , I don't really know why we're moving, I don't even really remember much of my past. "Gregory would you help me move these boxes downstairs?" My mom asked as she stopped in the doorway of my now old room. I nodded my head and grabbed a box from the floor labeled 'Gregory's Bedroom', as I was walking down the stairs my brother, Rudolph, started walking along side me. He looked at me, "Do you think moving is a good idea? For some reason I have a really good feeling about the new town we are going too, don't you?" I put the box down and looked at him "Actually I do have a good feeling about this, I feeling there is someone or something waiting for me there. Something familiar, maybe even from a past life." He smiled "It's been awhile since I've seen you so happy and excited you know." I looked down, he was right i feel like it's been over three hundred years since I've felt this excited and happy. "Come on children, it's time to get in the car we have a long drive ahead." Mother called from the car, Anna and Rudolph waved to the workers helping us move our stuff. I hoped in the car, put my headphones in and pressed play on my IPod, I slowly started to fall asleep to the sound of 'Brave New World' by Iron Maiden.

* Next Morning *

I woke up to my mother shaking my arm, "We are here darling, go grab your suitcase and bring it inside." I nodded my head and got out of the car. I looked around and noticed that there we were moving into a house just next to the main square, I shrug my shoulders and stretch. I grab my suitcase and make my way inside, as I went to walk out of the house my mother came and and tossed me an apple, "Breakfast." She said as she put a small bag full of them on the counter. "I figured you would be hungry, just grabbed them from the market." she gave me a small smile. I gave a silent nod of thanks while I took a bite of the apple. I started to make my way outside when I saw my little brother and sister looking at someone in the middle of the square, it was a little boy with blonde hair and round glasses. He ran in the opposite direction and came running back towards us with a girl around my age. Once I saw her I knew exactly who it was, she ran up to me and gave me a huge hug."I can't believe it's really you." she said, I couldn't help but smile once I heard her voice. "Well, believe it. I'm here and I will never leave you again." I said hugging her a little bit tighter. She pulled back and I saw her beautiful tear-stained face, I smiled at her and wiped one of her tears away. I pulled back a little more and took a bite out of my apple in attempt to make her laugh, which she did. She pulled me in for another hug and I kissed her on the cheek. We stood there for a while, just hugging.

I pulled back and looked her in the eyes, god I missed those eyes, "Do you remember that night in the graveyard? The night we met." She nodded slowly, I continued speaking "It was the first time that I saw you, I've never seen anything so perfect. I remember thinking that I had to have you or I'd die, and that's pretty ironic because I was undead. That was a time in my life when I was angry at everything, but when I saw you I felt peaceful and safe. Because I knew from that day on nothing could ever be that bad again, because I had you. I guess what I'm trying to tell you is that, I love you, and I never stopped loving you." She smiled and chuckled. "Stop being so cheesy." she said slowly pulling me towards my siblings and Tony.

* Later that night *

* Gregory's P.O.V *

We were cuddling, while looking out at the ocean by the cliff as the sun was setting. I looked down at Melodie's face, she is so beautiful and I'm very lucky to have her in my life once again. It's a funny thought really, I was a Vampire and she was the daughter of a vampire hunter, yet something unthinkable happened...we fell in love.
