"What have we gotten ourselves into?" I sighed, sitting next to Roderich at the piano. Oddly enough, he smiled at me and placed a hand on my knee.

"It seems hopeless now, but you never know. Maybe they will sound good." he chuckled.

"Do you honestly think that?"

"No, but I'm trying to be positive so I don't strangle Gilbert."

"Fair point."

At that moment, Ludwig slipped into the room, followed closely by Matthew.

"About time someone showed up." Roderich grumbled.

"Hey, what happened to staying positive?" I teased.

Roderich rolled his eyes and started to play Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky.

"About time you acknowledged Russian composers." Ivan giggled as he slipped into the room, "You only ever seen to play Classical pieces."

Roderich stopped playing and turned to Ivan in surprise.

"You recognised it?"

"Of course. It is quite a unique piece."

"And most famously arranged by a Frenchman." Francis argued as he entered the room, "You can hardly give all of the credit to Mussorgsky for that."

"But he's the composer! Ravel only decided what instruments should play what parts." Ivan shot back.

"It is not wise to argue with Ivan over this." Toris said quietly, suddenly appearing next to Francis, "He gets very passionate about this kind of thing."

Francis ignored this and kept arguing with Ivan until everyone had arrived and Roderich clapped his hands.

"Alright, we will begin now. Eduard, can you hand out the music?"

"Gladly." I said with a smile, starting to hand everyone a booklet.

"Alright, so we are going to start with something easy." Roderich sighed, "We're doing a Disney medley."

"But those are children's songs!" Natalya argued, crossing her arms.

"They're good and we all know them." Gilbert pointed out.

"We're doing it whether you like it or not!" I snapped.

Roderich sighed and slammed his hand on the piano, scaring everyone into silence.

"Shall we begin?" he asked tightly.

We started to work our way through the piece. Although it was a struggle, we didn't sound quite as bad as I was expecting. I was actually quite happy by the end of practise and I sat down next to Roderich with a contented sigh once everyone was gone.

"We aren't complete shit!" I cheered jokingly.

"We haven't reached the first key change yet." Roderich reminded.

Oh. Oh fuck.
