"Hey David! Do you want some tea?" I called from the kitchen.

"Um, sure. Why not?" His voice seemed close. And then I felt his arms slither around my waist. "I have to go home tonight unfortunately, but I hope to see you tomorrow?" He asks. I move to the stove to fill our cups.

"Why?" I asked. He lets go of me and takes a cup from my hand, and walked to the kitchen table with it. I sat across from him and sipped mine while touching up some homework I hadn't finished.

"Remember how I told you I was famous in England?" I looked at him. And then I put my finger on it. The first time he slept over.

"That was weeks ago." I said quickly drawing an 8th note and sipping my tea.

"Well, I have started to write a song. I'm hoping that song will turn into an album. A record company has offered me a label." I almost spit tea all over him.

"You what? When was this?" I asked, looking at him, wide eyed.

"My manager asked me on Wednesday. He wants me to fly to England over Christmas break." He sipped, calmly. "Would you like to come?"

"That's next month!" I exclaimed, pointing out the obvious.

"I'm assuming that the actual meeting to talk will only be for two or three days. The rest of the time we could do whatever your heart desires."

"David. We still have to buy tickets to and from Vermont for the plane. Around the Holidays it's rather expensive and-" he cut me off.

"It's all worked out. He's going to be sending over a plane from England." He chuckled.

The shock hits me soon after. "So we're really going to England!?" I was shocked. He nodded and smiled.

"Yes darling, we are. And we have an appointment to get our passports tomorrow. Right before I take you out."

I stood up not knowing what else to do and ran into him and sat on his lap. "I'm so happy for you!" I gushed. He kissed my temple. "But I have so much to do. We are going to my dads next week. I have loads of homework..." I trailed off. "And I have work today at 11:00." I looked at the clock. It was 8:30 I had two hours to finish this weeks homework.

I can do it, I thought. For the next half hour I sat in David's lap and did my homework before he kissed me and left my apartment. The clock on the wall seemed to grow louder until I finished my homework and quickly pulled on a pair of jeans and my work shirt.

I got to work 10 minutes early, so taking advantage of those 10 minutes, I made myself a frappechino. Finding an empty seat, I slid in and took out a book from at work bag.

8 minutes later, Layla, One of my co-workers, came over to me and told me my shift was starting. I only worked for 5 hours at a time, so the shift was rather easy.

"Hey Ilse, there's a man over there and he asked for you..." Linnie, trailed off. She was a bit nosey, so I wiped my hands on my apron, muttered a thank you and headed to the table.

"Hi Ils." Cole looked up at me. "How have you been. We haven't talked since the beginning of the year..."
