Four years later

Everybody was in town, family, friends, everyone. Most of the time it's the more the merrier, but not now. Johnnie didn't make it to five years and passed away a week ago. Today was the funeral, today we were going to let my husband go. We got married about a month ago, it was rushed but when they said only about three weeks we jumped to get married. We couldn't have an official wedding, because of how sick he was, but I married him, and that's all that matters. Now I was all alone, all because of Hunter. After the short, simple funeral filled with people we drove to the cemetery he was to be buried in. I was crying the whole drive down to the cemetery. The casket was closed and flowers rested on top of the casket they finished the final prayer and the pastor left and I stood sobbing as I saw the casket, that held the person I deeply loved. I would have done anything to get back. I wanted to scream but I took a rose from the array of flowers on the casket.

“I love you baby boy,” i whispered as I kissed my fingers and touched them to the casket. After my time with him and I walked away before they were to bury him. I drove to the Starbucks where we started talking to get some sugar cookies and just to sit and remember. I got up to order and looked at the guy's name tag, 'James’ he was dressed the same way Johnnie did, and looked about the same, but his hair was pastel purple.

“Hello welcome to Starbucks, what would you like, besides my number,” he laughed.

It was starting again.
