Chapter 4

Avalon's P.O.V.

"So why are we waiting here?" Seth asked.

"We have to wait for Alpha Lightwood and his family" I replied and he rolled his eyes.

"Why?" Brantlely asked as he came and stood on my other side.

"Because, Zoey and Alaynia asked me to invite him because that was the only way they were going to come to the party. Then he started talking to his siblings and we just came out here to wait for him," I said and looked at my watch. "Now we've been waiting out here for almost seven minutes and I'm freezing" I said.

"I can fix that" some one said and I turned to see Trent standing there.

"Trent!" I said and ran and gave him a hug.

"Hey," he said hugging me back. "Did you guys really think that you guys could leave me here?"he asked. "While you guys went to a party?"

"I hoped so" Ryker said and I rolled my eyes.

"Ignore him," I said and he nodded.

"I thought that you guys already left?" he said and I shook my head.

"We have to wait for Alpha Lightwood and his family" Jace said.

"Really?" he asked and I nodded. "Why?'

"Them," I said and pointed to Zoey and Alaynia. "They think that he will be one of their mates and I just think it's ridiculous" I said and he nodded.

"Here he comes" Jace said.

"Finally" I said and turn to Seth. "You driving?" I asked and he smiled his troublemaker smile.

"You know I can't drive yet" he said and I nodded.

"I know but that will make it a lot more fun" I said and he nodded.

"So how many can fit into one car?'' Rhydian asked.

"Five to a car" I said and he nodded.

"Trent, Seth, Brantley, Jace and I" are going in one car and the rest of you have to figure out who you guys are going to ride with" I said and they all nodded.

"So what party are we going to?" Trent asked.

"We are going to a party on Alpha McCloud's land."

"I thought that he didn't like you guys on his land after the little incident that happened last time?" Trent asked and I nodded. "So why exactly did he give you guys permission to enter his land?"

"Because Alpha Lightwood was with us when we were talking about it" I replied and he nodded. "Don't do that," said and he looked confused.

"What?" he asked.

"You were giving me that he-likes-you-look," I said and he rolled his eyes. "Besides which one were you talking about?" I asked and he just shook his head side to side.

He looked around and then pulled me aside.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"An experiment," he replied and now I was officially confused. "Watch for someone's reaction."

He then leaned in and then whispered in my ear, "Smile then pretend to blush."

I did what he told me to do and that was when I realized who he was talking about.

Alpha Lightwood looked furious about what just happened and I gasped and looked at Trent.

"How did you know that?" I asked and he smiled.
