George wrinkled his nose as I lugged a big case that had bee through several floos today that it was now a gray black instead of the lovely lavender I had painted it years ago.
"She needs a place that's...protected," Dumbledore had explained to George after he refused to let me stay there.
"I don't care if you needs a bloody kidney! She can't stay here, right Fred?" Fred grimaced and glanced at me.
"Oh bloody hell," George groaned.
My trunk scraped the floor as I dragged it.
"Can't you use magic?" Fred asked, hands cupped tightly over his ears.
"Why yes, yes I can, Weasley. In light of some events, my wand is tucked away until I unpack." I smiled. I hadn't realized I left my wand at Jennessa's when I was dragged off. She said she'd send it by night fall but I still didn't have it and I scowled. The handles were slippery with sweat. It pulled it and suddenly if lifted up high, high I could hold it. I looked up, Fred and George carried the truck to the smallest room I've seen.
"Thanks," I murmured. Sitting on my bed I looked around. The walls were bare expect a picture of all the weasleys and Harry. I looked at the door to see George scowling at me.
"Having fun, Georgie?" I hissed, not as malicious as normal. He shook his head and left me to my bed.
***
I slept for three days. When George came in the one night I woke in the early hours to see him in a small chair, barely big enough for him to be comfy. I scowled and scratched my lower lip with her nail. Why was here, with me? I shook it off and padded out of the room. Pace slow and path undetermined, i found a door leading down a set steps. I glanced around and descended them. Only wide enough for a person to walk signal file down the stairs. The office had two wooden desks, one coved in papers, the other with little trinkets. I looked around, seeing several photographs of the Weasley family. I reached for one of Fred and George when I heard a voice for the stairs.
"Why are you up?" George asked, rubbing his eye and massaging his left temple.
"Just thought I'd..go for a stroll," I glance around the office and at the long, shimmery purple curtain. "What's in there?"
"That's where the magic happens," He smirked slightly and led the way past the glossy curtain. Two counters lined the sides and small cauldrons sat were placed intermittently along the surface.
This s where we makeup of the treats. Snack boxes, Canary Creams. We also create the love potions too," George looked at the shelves above that were packed full with their inventory.
"More inventory is through this door," he motioned toward it, "Out there is where people come and buy things. Some also place orders if it's something out of stock or a big shipment."
I found myself smiling as I looked around the main shop. It was barely lit by the candles in the lanterns that lined Diagon Alley. The shelves went all the way up to the ceiling. a ladder was against the front of the shop.I grabbed it in my hand and pulled it along the wall and clambered up it.
"Watch this," George smiled. He waved his wand and ladder whipped around the shelves. I screamed and laughed as it came to halt back against the front wall. George was grinning as I clambered down, my legs shook. I couldn't believe I was smiling so widely.
