The beginning

Chapter 9
Shelby's P.O.V
I couldn't sleep that night.So I sat at my desk top thinking about what has happened since I joined the office.I thought and wrote a song I was working on.Slam!I went to the Padio door but nothing was there.Slam!I went to every window I my apartment but yet still,nothing.Slam!I went to the door leading to the long hallway.I opened it and there stood max."Max are you nuts!Its 12:00 and my neighbors are still probably sleeping and-wait how did you know where I lived?",I finally asked."Adam.sorry if I woke you up.",he said"No I couldn't sleep it's cool.",I said."Good.Well you know when you took me to that place?""Yah what about it?",I asked."Ok then follow me!",he said.He pulled my arm and pulled me down the hallway making me slam the door shut.We walked outside."Max where are we going?!",I asked giggling a little."You'll see.",he said driving off.
(TIME SKIP TO THE BEACH)
We got out of the car with max pulling three towels out of the back of his car.I looked around realizing that we were at the beach.I was speechless.He looked at me."You know how you took me to the place that night that you thought I would like?Well I thought you would like it here.",he said smiling."Max I...thank you for taking me here.",I said breathlessly."What are you waiting for lets go!",he said running towards the beach.I followed.We laid at a towel and sat on it.No one was there so it was very quiet.All you could here was the gentle waves and the faint sounds of seagulls in the distance.I laid my head on his shoulder when he wrapped his arm around me."Max this is perfect thank you so much.",I said."your welcome",he said sweetly back to me.We laid there for a while then we got up and decided to walk down the beach.I took my shoes off to wade in the water.And max walked on the sand right next to me.We walked for a while then we stopped.Max stood on a big rock next to the ocean."Shelby thank you for...always helping me when you could.",max said."Max no you helped me through anything a lot more than I did you.",I quickly said."Max I need to ask you something that you promise me you'll never forget.",I said."Yes!",he perked up.I got closer to him,and I shoved him off the rock.Losing his balance he fell into the water while I was laughing.When he stood up he was drenched in water looking more mad than usual."Never forget that max.",i said jokingly."Oh it's on!"He cradled me swinging in circles and then dipping me in the water.I was more soaked than he was.I stood up looking at him while he was laughing."Come on don't be so mad max.",I said "Oh you shouldn't of said that!",he said chasing me until he chased me back to the spot we picked.We settled down.My eyes we're getting heavier since I didn't sleep good the night before.I wanted to make this moment last longer by staying up with him.But I knew that he and I both knew that I couldn't stay up.I put my head on his shoulder listening to the sound of the small waves.I looked up at him just to see him smile one last time before I dozed off.
Max's P.O.V
Shelby fell asleep laying on my shoulder I cradled her in my arms and walked back to my car trying not to wake her up.I put her in my car,smiling at her before I drove off.I went to her apartment put her in her bed,and then left going home.
(TIME SKIP THE NEXT DAY)
Shelby's P.O.V
I walked in with max the next day.We were just talking until Adam looked at me and said."Shelby there is something really serious that I need to admit to you,that I've been hiding.",he confessed
