Shelby's P.O.V
My stomach clenched.I was really scared.Adam took my hand."Shelby you know how you're parents...died when you were young?""Yes.",I said nervously."They...didn't die.There now dead but...when you were young they weren't dead."Adam I-I don't understand-""Look what I'm trying to say is...you're parents went missing they didn't die.""And second there...",he hesitated.""There not you're real parents and your siblings aren't either.", he said fast."You mean...Ramona,Hannah,and-",I gasped."I'm sorry.",he said."Wait but if there not my parents then-who are?",I said trying to hold back tears."Look this is going to sound ridiculous but...I'm you're older brother and my parents are you're parents.",he explained.I looked at max and he was just as surprised as I was.Trying not to cry I said,"You mean that you're my brother and you're parents my parents too!Was I adopted?""Yes you were.Since I was older than you we had to give you away.I'm sorry but we couldn't have two kids at the time we couldn't afford it.",he said sympathetically."So you mean my Whole life has just been a huge lie!and no one told me?!Did my siblings know?!""Yes-they knew.",Adam said."Wait..the email-how you knew where I lived?-how you freaked out when you first saw me?And you just now told me.",I said tearing up."I didn't want to tell you but I knew you would figure it out sooner or later." ,he said in the nicest way he could.He took his glasses off and he was tearing up too.I pulled his hand off my shoulder and I walked towards the door."Shelby?""I'm-gonna take some time to think about this.",I said walking away.
Max's P.O.V
"Shelby!",but Adam put his hand on my shoulder to stop me."Max you need to understand that she's gonna have to take some time.",Adam said.Then he walked away.Hours went by and off and on i would think about Shelby.Later that day I was talking to Ross and red when Adam came up to us."Have you guys seen Shelby.We shook our heads."The last time I saw her was when you were talking to-",Ross stopped.We had told red and Ross what had happened since we were the only ones left in the office.We ran around the office looking for her-but she wasn't there."When was the last time you saw her Adam?",red asked "When she said she was going to think about it for a while."Without hesitating I sprinted out the door knowing exactly where she went.I ran out the door heading to the trees at the back at the office.
