Chapter 5

Layla's POV:

"And a couple? Really?" I ask as I looked between Zac, me and the triplets. "I don't see it" I sat down next to James with Kylie clinging onto me and Kaleb sat next to me cuddled into my side. "Why? I think you would make a cute couple." Riley questioned me.

"我不能想象我们为一对夫妇"( translation- "I just can't picture us as a couple")

"嗯，你会成为一个可爱的情侣在我看来，这样嘘" ( translation- "Well you would make a cute couple in my opinion so shush.") " Will you stop with the Chinese please we don't know what you're saying it's not fair" Noah complains . " Fine" Riley says. After that we fell into silence.

We all sat in a comfortable silence and I could feel myself start to fall asleep. Kaleb and Kylie had fell asleep while me and Riley were talking. Before I fell asleep Kalum came running towards me and also found a place to lie on me and sleep using my shoulder as a pillow. Soon after he fell asleep I slowly drifted off into darkness.

Zac's POV:

We all chatted to each other once we got bored of the silence me and Noah talking about this new horror movie with a blind man in it when James just randomly started talking. "Hey guys look at Layla" he called out catching everyone's attention. I looked over at Layla who had her head resting on James shoulder alseep with Kaleb cuddled into her side on one side ,Kalum cuddled into the other side and Kylie laying with her head resting on Layla's chest with her arms looped around her neck. I also noticed Duke lay at her feet. (Riley's dog)

"Omg that's so cute" Riley cooed. She then took her phone out to take a photo. When she was about to take the photo a voice spoke out. "I swear to god if you take a picture of me I burn all your albums." Layla said raising her head off James shoulder. She turned to James and apologised for falling asleep on him. He didn't seem to mind though. "You wouldn't dare" Riley gasped. "Try me" Layla replied smiling. "You are a bitch you know that right" Riley stated. "Thanks I work hard to be like this" Layla smiled proudly.

"You guys are so strange" Noah said joining the conversation. "We know" they said at the same time.

"Well I better get going I've got places to be and things to do" Layla said standing up and passing the triplets to Riley and Kyle. "Tonight aswell?" Ricky asked looking up at the exhausted girl infront of her. "You know I have to" Layla gave Riley a hug then left not before giving a nod to me and the guys.

Layla's POV:

After I left Riley and Kyle's house I went to the gym. Approaching the gym I heard foot steps behind me once I had got out my car. I turned behind me only to see no one near me.

Dismissing the weird feeling I had I carried on towards the brightly lit building. I was about to open the glass door when I was grabbed from behind. I went to scream but a large rough hand clasped its way over my mouth. I turned my head to see who was behind me. The face I saw was one I never expected to see.

The man who had hold of me hid within the nightmares of a friend. But those nightmares were just memories.

Dragging me behind the building he threw me to the ground. Your probably thinking why isn't this idiot fighting back. Well the answer to that is simple. I can't. Fighting back would mean exposing things I have hidden to protect my self and the people who I find important. He grabbed me by my shirt and repeatedly punched me in the face.

His punches were sloppy but they would leave bruises. Once he had run out of breath he stood up I thought he would stop at that but he didn't. He then began to kick me in my ribs and stomach. I used my arms to protect my head. Not once did I scream out in pain or wince. I wasn't going to give him that satisfaction.

"Where is she?" He shouted in my face kneeling so he was at the same level as my face as I leaned against the wall. "Safely away from you that's for sure" I spat at him. "She needs me. You don't know what's best for her like I do." He exclaimed hitting me once again. "If she needed you she would be at your side right now and you wouldn't have beaten her. If you knew what was best for her you should have let her go sooner" I coughed out.

He groaned and walked away into the woods that stood behind the gym.  I slowly began to get up. I called my boss and told him I had something come up and that I couldn't come onto work even though I was stood outside.

I lowered my self gently into my car and began my journey back to Riley's. Putting in the gate code I drove into the residents. Allowing myself in I made my was towards the living room where I heard voices I pushed the door open. I heard a gasp as soon as I walked into the room." Oh my god Layla what happened to you?" Riley exclaimed.

"He's back" was all I said as her face paled. After that darkness surround me for the third time today. Just as I was about to hit the flood I felt arms wrap around me.
