"This is ridiculous! Mum, how can they just throw her into this tournament, without permission?" Tonks yelled angrily.

"Tonks dear, calm down, you're not-" Andromeda tried to calm her daughter down but it failed to work.

"I can't calm down mum! Don't you understand what situation she's been unwillingly placed in?"

It was not like Nymphadora Tonks to cry over anything, in fact, the last time she cried was at her fathers funeral when she was fourteen. But there she sat, wiping away the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"Good lord, Ted, please help me." Andromeda muttered under her breath, moving towards her sobbing daughter.

"Dora, it'll be fine. She'll be fine. Calm down." Andromeda rubbed circles on Tonks's back.

"What if it's not mum? What if we lose her?" Tonks was becoming increasingly difficult with time, becoming harder and harder to contain.

The woman had always had control over the metamorphamagus powers she had been born with, but moments like these are the slightest tinge of blue was at her roots.

"Please just promise me that we'll be able to say goodbye before she goes." Tonks continued to cry, her mother still trying to contain the young woman.

"Don't talk like that. She will be fine. I promise. Your father will look over her, he'll protect her." Andromeda said.

She could only pray that Crystal could get out of the third task without a scratch, because if not, she'd have an emotional wreak for a daughter.

My whole world seemed to be crashing down at my fingertips, and at this point I was hiding away, scared.

I hoped that if I hid from the world then I could just disappear until after the third task, and I wouldn't have to do it.

I stopped going to classes, I hid away from everyone.

I didn't even let Ginny or Hermione see me.

When I first found out I was going to have to compete, Harry was the one who was quite mad, and he went off at Dumbledore.

I attended classes for the most part, and Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout, and Professor McGonagall had all told me I was free to come see them at any time.

Professor Binns, Professor Snape and Professor Sinistra had all told me off at one point or another, saying I was required to listen and contribute to classes.

I had my curtains charmed closed around my bed, and I just sat there for ages, staring.

I hadn't eaten anything, nor had I interacted with anyone.

And it was clear to me that everyone else was becoming concerned.

"Miss Potter." I jumped when I heard the voice of Professor McGonagall in my dorm.

She charmed the curtains open and I could see the look of concern she had for me.

"Come, with me, we're going to take a walk."

I stood up unwillingly, following my head of house out.

"Miss Potter, I understand you have fears about competing in this tournament, and believe me when I say I was against the whole idea. Unfortunately, one cannot simply 'change the rules' in the wizarding world, it just does not work that way."

I didn't reply, instead, I thought over her words.

We stopped at the door to McGonagall's office as she unlocked it and allowed me to go inside first.

"Have a biscuit Potter," she said it as if it were the most casual thing.

I took one and took a bite, only a small one as McGonagall began to talk.
