Chapter 8 - My Own Place and a Love Confession??

Mira's POV

The next day (Y/N) and I head to the Guild Hall, I need to get back to work as much as I want to head out on another job with (Y/N). It's a beautiful sunny day in Magnolia as we walk through the Guild Hall doors. Suddenly I hear someone calling (Y/N)'s name.

"(Y/N), (Y/N)!!!" Yuki squeals and glomps (Y/N) as soon as she gets close enough "Ohh guess what? I joined the Guild, isn't that great?" I hear Yuki ask (Y/N) as I start to feel angry and more than a little jealous.

"Oh, that's awesome Yuki but can I get up now?" (Y/N) says as she tries to move a little.

"Oh, I'm sorry, here let me help you up," Yuki says getting up and help (Y/N) up next. I walk next to (Y/N) and give her a big kiss on the cheek.

"I have to get to work sweetie, but I'll meet you after my shift ok?" I ask and (Y/N) nod with sparkles in her eyes and it makes my heart swell and I hug her so tight. I go to work happily as (Y/N) and Yuki sits at a table near the bar and talk.

Your POV

I sit with Yuki at a table by the bar so I can stay close to Mira while she works.

"So (Y/N) what are your plans for today?" I hear Yuki ask as hear question brings me back to reality as I was looking past her as I watched Mira work.

"Oh umm, I'm not sure really, maybe I could look for a place to live?" I say a little flustered "I'm currently living with Mira and her brother and sister but I don't want to be a burden on them" I confess before I have the chance to stop myself.

"ok sounds like a plan and I'll help too," Yuki says getting up from her seat and taking my hand as she leads me out of the Guild Hall. As we enter the centre of Magnolia, Yuki doesn't let go of my hand and she's smiling happily. "So, what kind of a place are you looking for?" Yuki asks as she stops and turns to look at me.

"just an apartment would do or a small house, I don't really have much money so I'm on a little bit of a budget," I say a little embarrassed but again Yuki doesn't seem to notice or doesn't mind. Instead, she grabs my hand as we head around Magnolia asking people if they have places to rent. We had some luck but most were out of my price range. We head into a restaurant for lunch, we order a meal to share and some drinks.

"Man, I thought for sure we'd find you a place by now" Yuki sighs while she takes a gulp of her drink and I just giggle.

"I knew it wasn't going to be easy but at least I can get a better idea of what I'm looking for," I say and Yuki smiles.

"That's great (Y/N), I'm sure we'll find you a place," Yuki says doing a little fist bump. Just then our food arrives and we dig in. it tastes so good. We finish feeling full and head out back into Magnolia to keep searching until we hear of a woman looking for a tenant for her small cottage just outside of Magnolia. Yuki and I both smile at each other as we head out to see the cottage.

As we arrive it's just too adorable, it has a thatched roof and a chimney with a small picketed fence surrounding it and a small garden with a trellis archway covered with pink and white roses over the front door. It's easy to tell that the person who lives here has put a lot of love and care into this place. I knock on the front door and a small old lady answers.

"Oh hello, how can I help you?" The lady asks with a smile.

"Hello, I'm (Y/N) and I was hoping to rent this cottage if that's alright?" I ask shyly as Yuki takes my hand and gives it a comforting squeeze.

"Well (Y/N), I'm Celeste and come on in so we can talk," Celeste says stepping aside so Yuki and I can come in. It's adorable on the inside too. An all in one living, kitchen and dining area is laid out cutely with a light cream colour on the walls with soft pink and white furnishing to decorate the living area. The kitchen is small but practical with an island for more work space. The dining area has a table for 4 decorated with a pink lacey table cloth and a vase full of roses in the middle, I'm in love with it. "As you can see the cottage is a little small but I think it's quite comforting in a way," Celeste says with a sweet smile on her face.
