I re-enter the room. "Good girl." I call, when I see she hasnt moved: "You really are so obedient..." I set the rest of my equipment beside of her.
The body was a shell; empty. Her head was solid but her body was like a deflated football. I take the plastic covering the ingredients and rip it off.
Stuffing.I take the stuffing and place a huge ball at the bottom of her leg and another slightly higher up. I carry on until eventually her whole body is full of stuffing. Next step: sewing.
I cover up the stuffing by pulling the front half of the body over the back half. With my needle and thread in my right hand, I begin to weave. In, out; in, out. "Don't cry, darling," I comfort her, "It'll be all over soon." I weave for a few more minutes but eventually, the body, legs and arms were complete. "Perfect!" I exclaim. "This is going to be amazing!" I tell her.
The only thing left to do (Before the makeover, that is!) is to complete the head.
I take my scythe once more and gently run it along her forehead and all the way around the circumference of her head. I take off the lid, and lift out her skull. With her skull out, I scoop out her brains and put it in a jar:
"We wouldn't want to chuck that away!"
I put in the stuffing and sew the top of her head back on. She's all ready for her big makeover. All ready.
She was perfect...
