This is too easy. How can I just walk into her empty house. It's like one of those fairytales. What is it now. Goldilocks. Although this is Goldilocks' house; and I'm the intruder. I scurry around the living room and look at a photo on the mantelpiece. I caress it with my fingers.

"Beautiful..." I say aloud, knowing that no one can hear me. My footsteps are like drums in the silent house and constantly remind me of the perfect situation I was in. Downstairs, however, from my experience, are little use to a skilled person like myself. And this one was no exception.

I creep up the stairs and cautiously push open the first door I see with the sleave off my jacket: "We wouldn't want any evidence now, would we?" I smile, and move towards the next room. Nothing still. Then the next. A bed. I move further in for closer inspection.

The bed is in the middle of the room. and there is a wardrobe which circles it like a shark. I work my way around the bed and come to a halt at the windowsill. One family photograph. No makeup. No phone charger. This must be the parents' room.

I walk back out and look in the last room and see nothing except for laundry. My eyes widen in shock. Then where?

I come back out of the room before seeing a set of stairs leading to the attic. A grin spills across my face.

The wooden steps Creek underneath my feet but I'm only looking upwards. When I reach the top, I pull a string which lights up the room instantly. I stand upright and search my surroundings. This was it; Jackpot!

I look at everything without touching a thing before I hear I noise from downstairs. Did a door just close? I stop in my tracks and listen. Listen. Footsteps. Boom! Boom! Boom! Goes my heart and a pair of feet as someone walks up the stairs. They are at the ladders; they're walking up. "This is it." I think, as a head pops up from the hole...
