I woke up in the back seat , i remembered what happened so i didnt ask i just sat up and started to think , I felt diffirent like i was more aware of my surroundings . 'did you get what you needed from china ' I saw skulduggery turn for a moment 'o god your awake you where begining to alarm us ' ' i am grand i just feel a bit more aware ' ' yes that will happen , but for now i must tell you both the importance of your names , did any of you read Gordens books ' ' yeah i did which book , or part ,was that the one where you have 3 names a taken a given and your true name ' ' yes we all have a given name ,that was given to you by your parents however horrible it may be most humans stick with it , when they change their name they take their taken name ,if you wish to get involved in the magical community you need a taken name so mages cant command you to do what they wish , you dont need to know about the 3 name not yet anyway ' ' ok so we need to chose a taken name , so what are we doing now ' 'finding out some things about serpine and what he is after , when you where sleeping china told us their was no rumors but i dont think that was the case , i saw a page open on her desk about the ancient staff and i have a feeling serpine is after it ' i didnt like where this was going to say the least , from the way skulduggery spoke about serpine it was clear that he didnt like him , not knowing what to say i just nodded and lay back my head. I started to remember the way skulduggery had pushed at the air and made fire .I began to click my fingurs gently and pretended their was magic around me and it was fueling the little spark that got generated and then all of a sudden the spark grew to be a small flame , i looked at it flickering and i fueled it some more.But that is where the hard part got , how do i put it back 'skulduggery , we have a small probleum' i siad sheepishly .I saw him look back and when he saw the flame , i think he started to smile and then all of a sudden my hand was wet and their was no more flame ' thanks , it was getting very hot back here for a moment ' i smiled and we all started to laugh. I couldnt beileve it i did magic now i needed my name.

We arrived somewhere in dublin , stephine asked where we were .Skulduggery just siad we are visting the grand mage , to report . I got out and followed but skulduggery stopped just before we where about to enter and turned to me and my sister ' Please dont act like young innoccent girls it will help us alot and save us alot of trouble. I just nodded and we entered , we where told to wait in the waiting room , when we where waiting i began to try and lift a magazine up with air ,but i failed .I caught skulduggery looking at me once , I got a feeling that he was proud or something but i couldnt be sure after all why would he .

We where called in to see the grand mage and the other elder mages . I saw skulduggery nod in greeting but i didnt dare do the same for they where all staring at me and i was getting freaked out .

Skulduggery pleasant pov.

As we walked in , i nodded to the grand mage but i soon saw they where staring right past me , i had hoped they would not reconise her but they did , i felt Alexas discomfort at being stared at and i felt protective all of a sudden but i struged it off ' this as you seem to remember is Alexa Edgely and This is her sister whose name i will not give out . 'We are here to report to you the matter about serpine .

'Skulduggery , how many times have we told you serpine is good now , he wont harm anyone the truce is still around him , there is no matter , forget you personal matters and bring them two little girls home.

Alexa pov

I heard the grand mages say personal matters and i couldnt help but wonder what matters did her have with serpine . But i stopped thinking about that when the grand mage called us little girls my rage flushed and before i knew it the air around me was trembling slightly , i calmed myself and felt the air relax ' we are not little girls we are here because we deserve to be here.'

' do you deserve to be here child , if so why , and why would we accept your petty help you cant control your magic and we have no idea if you sister can even do magic '

' i am not a child and i would soon show you , but you might run away and call your guards who are behind them doors , when you secreatly pressed the alarm under your desk there when i used magic . My uncle may have being murdered and not by mortals but by possibly serpine , it is me who came here with my personal matters not skulduggery so i strongly advice apolgising to him at once , you may be an elder mage but the last time i checked you still must have manners '

I saw the grand mage look at me , in fact everyone was looking at me the elder mage i spoke to strongly was flushed red he was staring at me angrely , The grand mage was staring at me with surprise but i could see a ghost of a smile , the other elder mage began to laugh . But it was a nice laugh she was with me not against me , i turned to skulduggery who was looking down at me surprised but happy. I turned to the grandmage who began to speak to me

' Ok now we know your are not a child, elder mage Sagacious Tome will apologise now . But my dear you must understand ,Skulduggery would be all too glad to get back at serpine but if he is somehow involved in your uncles death , we need evidence .You may not be a child and i can tell that you are smart enough to know that you cant understand everything , their are things about serpine that we need to be careful about '

I just nodded and smiled when elder tome told skulduggery he was sorry . But i could tell skulduggery was angry i just hoped not with me . We walked out into the bently ,we where all slient . We got dropped off at Gordens house sadly skulduggery left .It was nearly morning so i sat on the sofa and took off my coat when i saw a note slipped in it

Meet me outside your window tonight we have a job to do

i smiled and fell alsleep on the couch

Hey guys hope you enjoy , but i am having trouble i need a new character an kidnapper and i have 0 ideas so what you guys can do is come up with ideas post them here and you can work on the book with me for a while if you wish.
