Chapter 10 : the book of names

I was sitting down when a sharp pain sliced through my mind I winced but thankfully no one noticed. I fell asleep .

Again I was in the cave, the woman pointed at a book,  I walked over to it and tried to open it,  the more I tried the more I didn't want to. The woman spoke softly " it's protected but not for long,  soon left to be defenseless,  you must stop it from falling into the wrong hands " I nodded knowing she was talking about serpine .I heard shouting and breaking of glass. I woke up jumping to my feet. My kidnapper was out,  she pointed her fingers at skulduggery, Stephanieand ghastly they fell to the ground. I froze in fear. But I heard my sister screams, rage filled,my head, I concentrated on the magic flowing around Me.I pushed at the air and lexy flew backwards,  I clicked my fingers and a flame grew I threw it at her.  She pointed at me and I felt her again in my mind but I was angry she hurt my.sister,  my friends she won't make me break again. I pushed back with my mind. and watched as she stumbled back but she pushed with her power and my pushing slipped I crumbled to the ground but I wasn't ready to lose yet. I imagined the air forming a protective shield around my mind and I felt the pain disappear I stood up and pushed with my mind as hard as I could. " stay out of my head you bitch " I yelled she turned and ran. Skulduggery was the 1 st to stand up " are you ok"

" I don't know,  do you mind if I black out for a bit "

I fell into darkness where I met the woman
