alexa pov

i felt like i was floating for a while , so i naturally thought i was dead , but then the pain shot through me so i guess not , i know i am safe now , but my mind still hurts , i know i am dreaming . In my dreams i see a woman she is tall and has long flowing black hair , black as midnight she is guiding me through the air , she was trying to whisper something but i couldnt hear , she continued to guide me to a cave , it was bright as if the sun itself was in it . I walked in with her and i saw it the ancient sceptre . I dont know how i knew it but i did . Suddenly the cave went dark , and monsters began to peak out of the shadows they leaped at me , I woke up and shot up in the bed screaming .

China pov

i was watching Alexa when skulduggery was filling in stephine over some food , when all of a sudden Alexa jumped up screaming ' shhh shhh no one is going to hurt you , you are safe ' I dont know how but it pained me to see ehr bruised up like that and she hadnt even siad her name , she was strong , but was she broken

Alexa pov

I calmed when i saw China ' sorry ' i whispered my throat feeling sore but i wasnt in much pain i wondered why until i saw all the tubes sticking into me , i must have turned as white as a ghost and then i saw the curtains surrounding me ' China would you mind opening the curtains just a little bit ' i whispered as fear clentched me . She did as i asked and looked at me , o god she though they broke me ' Im ok , i am just clasutphobic ' she relaxes and begins to read a book , i lie there until a doctor comes ' I am kenspeckle and i hope you are feeling better ' I smiled at him ' thanks to you i feel great considering everything ' He smiled at me back . ' can i speak to skulduggery ' i asked but i saw him come into my little curtain tent ' Thanks for saving me '

' i was late '

' no you where not , i am alive therefore you where right on time '

'you got tortured '

'yup it wasnt fun but i will live '

I saw him look at me ' nope i am not crazy but i think the medicine may be making me over happy though '

we both laughed. ' hes after the sceptre '

'yeah , so hurry up and lets go and kick some bad guys butts '
