The humans were shouting and going mad, opening doors looking under tables, beds and chairs. Underneath a small messy bed in one of the smallest rooms, a bright ginger tom's fur was standing up, a dark tortoiseshell she-cat was hissing and spitting next to him, they were both very scared. They had no idea why there was so much commotion. Suddenly, the small messy bed shook a little. Then stopped. A small cry escaping from somewhere in the room. With a call from human the cats heard a door slam shut.

Suddenly water flooded through their little home, washing up everything in sight. The bright ginger tom climbed onto a small coffee table, with his fur fluffing up, what's happening? He thought, his eyes were burning. "CARAMEL!" He wailed desperately, "Caramel!" he called again, his voice weakening, as cold, salty water filled his mouth, making his throat hurt.He didn't know what to do, he couldn't save her and he had no idea what to do if she died.

Caramel's head popped out of the water, only to be sucked right back in again. "Caramel," he mewed, but it was no use, his voice was tiny now and she was nowhere to be seen. The bright ginger tom floated away through the bedroom door, and into the kitchen, what on earth just happened? All the chairs were bobbing in the water, and he could barley see the counter top. The bright ginger tom's pelt was now a darker, duller colour. He floated around the kitchen to the a large window then outside. The ginger tom was terrified, the humans never let him out, he had no idea where he was going, and what he was going to do. All he knew what that he was exhausted and needed to sleep, he had no idea how he was going to sleep, but it finally fell upon his eyes.

The bright ginger tom had been floating all day and all night. He was soaking wet, really scared and had no idea where he was. When he looked, he saw he was headed to a forest. the current was strong and taking him towards it quickly, he noticed the water wasn't very deep, he would probably be able to stand in it, but he didn't dare, as water half scared him to death. The bright ginger tom had been floating for ages, and his body was aching. As the water's current slowly pushed him closer to the Forrest the shallower the water became, and the more ground he was able to see.

When he reached the Forrest, he got off the coffee table and started to walk. he saw a grey cat coming towards him. "What are you doing on Oakclan territory?" She said seriously, "I-I d-didn't know i-it belonged t-to any one I-I'm sorry."
"It doesn't matter, it's not like I'm going to attack you or anything. So what are you doing anyways?" Her expression changed to the complete opposite it was before as she spoke.
"I'm looking for my friend."
"Why?"
"There was a flood, and I got swept away on the coffee table to here, and I was wondering if it happened to her to."
"Well, maybe we could help you. The names Sardine, by the way."
