Kameron:
I probably slept for, like, three hours when my mom went off waking me up. I really don't want to go to school today, but at the same time, I do. I just want to see Lorie.
After I hop into the shower, I throw on a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. When I arrive at school, the area surrounding my usual parking spot is empty, which is unusual. When I walk into the school, everyone just stares at me, which is actually pretty normal. What's not normal is the fact that the girls have killer looks in their eyes.
Being brave, this girl, Jeanine Kasey, comes up to me and slings her arms around my waist. "Babe, when are you gonna come over?" She says in a flirtatious tone. Hoes never stop, do they? I think to myself. Even when there's a rumor about me being a rapist.
"How about never?" A voice says behind me. Lorie's voice. I breathe out a sigh of relief. Jeanine removes her arms from around me and crosses them across her chest, as if she's trying to look tough.
"And who are you to say that?" She says with a glare.
"His girlfriend." Lorie says, standing her ground. "Now move." Lorie steps closer. She seems to be going over this plan really well.
Jeanine laughs. "You, his girlfriend? Girl, please stop dreaming," Jeanine rolls her eyes. In one swift movement, Lorie pulls Jeanine's head back by her hair and has her in a head lock. Jeanine starts to struggle.
"Now are you going to move, or will I have to make you?" Lorie whispers in Jeanine's ear, just loud enough for me to hear. Jeanine quickly nods and Lorie releases her. Jeanine fixes her clothes before sprinting off on the opposite direction. One her braids looks like it's coming out. Lorie must've pulled hard.
I turn to Lorie with a smirk. "Don't you think that was a little extreme?" I ask, one eyebrow slightly raised.
"Nah, not at all. Bitch was all up on my man." She says, smiling as I pull her into a hug. The crowd that's been watching slowly dissipates.
Lorie:
I walk into class holding Kameron's hand. Every girl stares at me like I'm prey. I swear, just a few minutes ago they were scared of him.
I let go of Kameron's hand to walk to my seat, but he seems to have other plans. He instead takes me to his seat and sits me on his lap.
The teacher walks in and looks at us, but he doesn't say a thing about it. So that's how we spend the rest of class. Kameron whispers jokes in my ear all through class. Every time I laugh, the teacher sends a glare my way but I don't care. He still doesn't say anything about my new seating arrangement.
The next period, I'm a student aid so I make my way to the school library. At the door, some girls stop talking and send glares my way. Wow, news travels fast. It seems like every girl in school knows I'm Kameron Matthews' girlfriend. This plan may be a lot harder than I thought.
Kameron:
At lunch, I sit with the guys and wait for Lorie. Once she comes, everyone takes their seat at the table.
"Hi, I'm Lorie," she says. Jake, Matt, and their girlfriends introduce themselves to her. There's an awkward silence that soon follows.
"So, Lorie, what are you with Kameron for?" Matt asks, breaking the silence.
"What do you mean?" She asks, confused.
"Well, everyone's got some reason to be with someone. What's yours? Is it for money, popularity, sex?" Matt explains. A look of horror passes over my face. We hadn't thought about that.
