Lorie:

Right away, Kameron sends everyone in his contacts a text, letting them know the party's Friday. Then, he tells me to do the same. When I send him a text, he gives me a confused look.

"Why did you send me a text?" He asks.

"You said send it to the people in my contacts and you're in my contacts, along with Samantha and Ted," I explain.

A look of shock is written all over his face. "You only have three contacts?" He asks in disbelief.

"Um, yea. I had no friends, remember? I was Monkey Girl." I remind him. I hate that name so much, at least no one's calling me that anymore.

He continues to stare at me with his mouth open.

"Better shut that thing before you attract some flies." I say, jokingly.

Kameron:

I almost passed out when Lorie told me she only had three contacts. What person only has three contacts in their phone. I have so much work ahead of me.

Once I snapped out of my trance, I got back on track.

"Okay. My mom's working the night and my dad just won't care. We have to get this place ready by Friday. Let's go to Sam's Club to get the food." Sam's Club is kind of like Walmart in a way, but I think the food at Sam's is better and they have a ton of free samples.

"Yeah, that's fine." She still looks a bit nervous.

I give her a kiss. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise." I tell her, trying to calm her nerves.

"Yeah, I know." She says, biting her lip a bit but she does look a bit calmer.

Lorie:

We went to Sam's Club. It was fun. We grubbed on some free samples, bought the party food, then ordered some ice cream and a pizza.

"Kameron is too long a name, I'm gonna start calling you Kam. Is that cool with you?" We're all snuggled up on his couch, watching an old Disney movie.

"Sure. I like it. A nickname from my girlfriend." He says with a smirk.

"Kam," I take a deep breath before continuing,"what are we? Where do we stand?"

"What do you mean?" Kameron asks, giving me a curious glance before returning his attention to the movie.

"I mean this; us. Our relationship." He's now giving me his full attention. "This feels like so much more than a plan."

"I thought you were my girlfriend?" Kam says it more as a question, looking confused.

"I mean outside the plan. What are we?" I repeat.

"In and outside the plan, you're my girlfriend. I really like you, Lorie." Kam replies, sliding his arms around my waist.

I just stare at him, a bit shocked. He smiles down at me, gives me a quick kiss, then turns back to the movie.

The week actually seems to go by pretty calmly. I guess those girls finally got the memo not to mess with me or my man. Friday comes by rather quickly.

We're at his place, making sure everything's set up for the party. I still feel a bit uneasy about it. I'm not really a party person and with my terrible past, I'm not feeling so up to this.

"That's the door, I'll get it." Kam says, giving me a kiss on the cheek. He seems to sense my unease. "It'll be fine. Don't worry, I won't let you out of my sight." He reassures, giving me a hug.
