Tristan's POV
Everything had gotten so complicated all of a sudden. I cheated on Miles with Yates, Miles cheated on me with Maya, and then I had the whole testimony with Yates' case to deal with. Everything was just imploding in my head all at once. I finally worked up the nerve and told Miles about my testimony. I was embarrassed, but he told me he that he was there for me and that he would go with me for support if I wanted, but I told him it would just make me more nervous, but that we'd meet up afterwards and talk about it. He was so great to me, even after I was so horrible. I mean I know he was horrible too at times, but I felt as if that was my fault to start off with.
I couldn't just sit in my room and wait to go to the court house, so I left, leaving in Owen's old car that he left at the house. I couldn't technically drive yet, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. I didn't have a specific destination in mind , but the joy and the rush of being on the road was good enough for me.
My phone started to vibrate soon after I started driving; it was Miles. I didn't want to be considered a distracted driver and start texting, so I ignored them for a little while. However, my phone kept vibrating and vibrating, annoying the hell out of me, until I finally looked at my phone and started reading all the messages that started popping up. Miles couldn't wait to tell me; Maya was pregnant with his baby. I didn't even have time to feel any certain way about the event. Everything I was about to feel was overpowered by the gigantic impact of metal on metal; I crashed the car into something, I didn't know what it was at the time. It took me a few moments to collect myself and my thoughts, looking over myself for any damage; I didn't have a scratch on me, except for the pounding headache I had gotten from the wreck. I decided to get out of the car and went over to check out the damage.
Miles' POV
I started texting Tristan like crazy. I couldn't wait for him to be done with all his court business, so I told him everything though text. It was probably the worst way I could have gone about it, but I didn't want to hear the disappointment in his voice if I didn't have to. I wanted to meet up and talk to him before he left, but I got caught up with Maya. God, my life had become very complicated, didn't it?
After texting him everything I needed to get off my chest, I started driving home. I just needed to lay down and sleep for a while. There was too much to deal with and I just needed a break. As I was driving, I saw a car that looked familiar, when all of a sudden it hit me head on. I was shocked at first, because I've never been in a car accident before and I didn't know what to expect, I guess is how I'd put it. I don't know. My head was killing me. As I put my hand to my head, it turned out that it was gushing blood like a sprinkler. I didn't even really the wound itself, I just started to get a little dizzy. It felt like it took forever for the crash itself to stop, but in reality it only took a matter of seconds. With all my strength and energy, I managed to open the driver's side door, and got out of the car to see Tristan standing there.
"Tristan...." I said seemingly to myself, but he reacted as if he'd heard me.
I then fell to the ground, with my vision fading in and out.
Tristan's POV
When I got out of my car and looked over, my heart dropped.
Miles' car.... was the car that I hit.
This was unbelievable, I.. I just didn't even know what to think.
I stood in between my car and his car, unable to move, unable to think, unable to do anything.
It was then that I heard a noise coming from the driver's side; it was Miles. He managed to open his door and step out. His head was bleeding profusely and he looked as if he'd just lost a MMA fight.
As he stepped out, he looked over to me, having a mixture of disbelief on his face, as well as hurt and anguish. I heard him mumble something that resembled my name, but I couldn't fully make t out. It was then that he fell to the ground.
I ran over to him as fast as I could, when all of a sudden my vision went white.
I can't explain what happened, but all of a sudden, I was back in Miles' house the night of the big thunderstorm. How on earth was I back here if I was just outside on the road a few seconds before?
At that moment, I realized that Miles was looking at me, with a sense of lust and desire.
"Go ahead." He said flirtatiously.
Wait.. was this right before we kissed for the first time?
