Maya's POV

I came back to the living room, where a nervous Zig awaited the news.

"Well, what happened?" Zig asked with some anxiety.

I took a breath and spoke.

"I- it said positive. I'm pregnant."

My whole world had just caved in on me. This wasn't suppose to happen to me. I wasn't suppose to lose my virginity to Miles. I wasn't suppose to get pregnant by Miles. Miles wasn't even suppose to be in my life anymore. I'm suppose to go off and start a kick ass music career. I'm not suppose to have a kid, not yet.
Nothing is right, and I don't know what to do.

I fell to my knees and started sinking to the floor. Zig ran over and hugged me.

"We'll figure it out, Maya. I promise you, I'll do everything I can to help you."

I hope he was right; I hope I can figure it out.

Miles' POV

It's been a trying few weeks for Tristan and I. But I think we're past the worst of it. It took a while for him to feel a little more comfortable with what happened between Maya and I, as it took me a while with him and Yates, but I feel like it really helped make us a stronger couple than we were before.

Tris and I were hanging out in my room Friday after school, and we were snuggling, when he got a call from a number he didn't recognize.

"Hello, you got Tristan."

"Hi, is this Tristan Mulligan?"

"It is, who might this be?"

He then turned down the volume of his phone so I couldn't hear it, and then excused himself to go talk in the hallway. I was scrolling on Facerange when I started getting a call from Maya.

"Hey Maya.. what's up?"

"Hey Miles, could you come over? I know it sounds weird, but you know I wouldn't ask you to if it wasn't serious.."

I told her I'd be over once Tris and I were done studying, but when he came back in the room, the mood shifted.

"Hey.. I have to go home. You know how my parents get. I'll call you later okay?"

"Okay Tris. I love you"

"I love you too, Miles"

We kissed goodbye, and once he left my house, I started heading for Maya's.

I know that wasn't his mom and dad calling. Why would he ask who was calling if it were them? What is he hiding from me?

Tristan's POV

Miles and I were relaxing in each other's arms when all of a sudden I started to get a call. My heart dropped when I saw the number; it's been one I've had to talk to for months. I answered while still in bed with Miles, but then went out in the hallway to make sure he didn't hear any of the convo.

"Hi Tristan, this is the Toronto Police Department, reminding you that your testimony against Grant Yates is scheduled for Tuesday. The trial starts at 8am sharp, so please be on time. Thank you!"

Shoot, I totally forgot about that.

Okay, so remember when I met with the police in Principal Simpson's office the very beginning of Spring term? Well, I've been going there a once a week since then to meet with the prosecuting attorney there about the case regarding Yates. It's a touchy subject that I really don't want to get into, and I know I said something about trying to get him off the hook, but bottom line, I'm doing the right thing by testifying against him. It will help the school, as well as my relationship with Miles.
