Harry's POV
Cassie grabbed my hand and led me out of the room and pushed my back up against the wall.
"Before I melt into your arms, you have some explaning to do." Cassie crosses her arms over her chest.
"Listen, babe.. I'm sorry for avoiding you. I just didn't know how to act around you without acting like I was hiding something. I needed to sing you that song as a surprise, and if I would've talked to you it would have given it away." I sighed. "You know I care about you, and I'm so incredibly sorry about your parents. I can't even imagine how you feel right now. Everything I said in that song was true, I've been alone for so long and I need someone like you to help me feel whole again." I covered my face with my hands to hide the embarrassment written all over it.
"Harry.." Cassie grabbed my hands and put one over them on her chest. What?
"Do you feel this?" I felt Cassie's heartbeat. "That's my heart, and it's very fragile. I've been through more shit than you could ever imagine. My heart can't take anymore, but I'm going to give you the chance of owning it. You can make my heart beat harder and faster than possible, but you also have the power to break that. Don't forge-"
I cupped my hands on Cassie's face and brought my lips to hers, and she placed her hands on my shoulders. This is the second time we kissed, and it wasn't as fast and heated as last time. It was slow... passionate, and full of life.
"I will never hurt you, Cassandra." I breathed out. "Never." I leaned back into the kiss and brushed my thumb across her cheek. I felt the her grip on my shoulders tighten as I rubbed my hand up and down the small of her back. The heat was rising, and as much as I wanted to keep this moment going, I know how exhausted she is. I slowly pulled away and kissed her forehead.
"You're so beautiful." I whispered as I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"So are you." She blushed, and I couldn't help but laugh. She's adorable.
"Want to watch a movie in my room?" I shifted around awkwardly awaiting her response.
"I'd love to, actually." Her smile lit up the room.
"Well, let's go!" I yelled loudly and she let out a laugh. I grabbed her hand and ran up the stairs, dragging her along.
I haven't known her long, but I can't help but feel like this is the start of something beautiful.
