Chapter 20

Cassie's POV

"Alright, we should be able to leave as soon as they get done signing some papers," Harry told all of us. He just went up to the desk with Louis, Niall and Kate to ask about any papers she'd need to sign before leaving the hospital. She's been here for a day and a half along with the boys, Tori and I. We're very much so ready to leave. 

"How are ya?" I overheard Liam ask Harry. The boys have been doing so much to help Kate out, especially Niall. I don't know exactly what's going on but I feel as if Kate and Niall are crushing on each other. 

"I'm alright," Harry moved from his standing position to sit on the couch next to me. "I'm extremely tired, but aside from that I'm good," he smiled. 

"Alright guys listen up!" Louis clapped his hands together. "We got the papers signed and we are now ready to go back to the lake house. Since it's about 5 minutes away from here we're just going to walk." We all sighed. The last thing I want to do is walk, but it really isn't that far. 

"I just want to say thanks again to all of you. It means a lot that you're going to let me stay with you guys," Kate looked at all of us and blushed. I haven't known Kate long, but she seems to be very shy. 

"It's no problem at all, love." Liam gave Kate a sincere smile and she once again blushed. 

"Well let's get going guys. I'm so ready for a nice nap in an actual bed," Zayn spoke up from the chair in the corner of the room. We all nodded our heads in agreement and then we walked out of the hospital together. 

The weather's been quite nice lately. The sad part about that is none of us got to enjoy it due to the fact that we've all been in this hospital for almost 2 days. Yes, we could have left very easily but the guys weren't supposed to leave so Tori and I didn't want to go back to the lake house by myself. Everyone was gathering around Kate and kissing her ass. Sure she's pretty and has a nice figure, but she also seems incredibly fake. Who knows, that could just be the vibe I get from her. I kicked the gravel below my feet.

"Hey," Harry whispered into my ear and wrapped his arm around my waist. I hadn't realized he was behind me.

"Hi," I whispered into his ear, the same way he did to me. Harry laughed. 

"Are you as tired as I am?" Harry pulled me closer to him as we crossed the parking lot and into the road. There's something about the way he holds me close to him that makes me feel so safe.

"If you're about to pass out from lack of sleep, then most likely yes," I winked at him and he smirked. 

"You're quite the stunner, Cassandra," Harry whispered in my ear again and now it was my turn to blush. "Anyways. The reason I asked was because I wondered if you were up for a nap in my bed, but it's totally up to you." 

"I'd love to. I need some sleep." I smiled up at him.

"Good deal," Harry winked and let his arm fall back to his side. We haven't talked much since we layed in bed together 3 days ago. I told him that there's no way this relationship would work and next thing you know, Louis' loud mouth comes bursting through the door. 

I'm not going to let this summer be some cliche love story. I need to be honest with myself no matter how much it hurts. I don't possibly see how Harry and I could work out, so it's best to just stay away and save my heart  from breaking now. Except, I just told Harry I'd nap in his bed. Well this is going great.

"Race you all to the house!" Louis called out to us and took off running. We all looked at each other before taking off running towards the house as well. Why does this hill have to be so damn big? Louis obviously made it to the house first, seeing as he was the first one to start running, and then the rest of us met up soon after.
