Looking at the furious citizens, Ophelia knew that she must do it now or never. She immediately picked up the silver tabby cat as the swarm of citizens was darting towards her.

"I love you, Jones." she whispered, gazing at the kitty's azure eyes.

"SMOOCH!" went Ophelia's lips as she kissed the cat with her true love.

Then, something unexpected happened!

The tabby cat was gently lifted up in the air, surrounded by a ball of gleaming, yellow light. The mob immediately stopped their tracks as it floated slowly away from the youth's hand, who was watching in amazement.

"It worked! It really worked!" thought an ecstatic Ophelia.

"What is happening?!" the spoiled brat asked her parents, who were paralyzed by the girl's actions.

Apart from the mob, many passers-by on the Square were also attracted by this magical wonder.

"Mommy, why is the cat in a yellow bubble?" a little child pulled his mother's skirt, asking her innocently.

"Praise the lord! Our Savior!" an old man shouted, staring up in the sky.

Suddenly, the golden yellow bubble flashed, emitting rays of glimmering light.

Such dazzling lights! It stunned the crowd to tumble on the path, with their eyes tightly shut to avoid the light. Shielding her eyes with her slender arms, Ophelia could still catch a glimpse by opening her eyes, peeking from the gap with astonishment.

The cat, inside the aureate ball started its transformation! Its whiskers were disappearing as his nose started to stretch; fingers started to emerge from the tiny paws, the bushy tail on its back became shorter and shorter while its whole body slowly extended into a human with short spiky hair. When it reached to a suitable height, the light faded away, leaving a young man, topless with only wearing a pair of black pants with a leather belt, and a pair of black shoes floating down from the air and landed slowly.

It was David Jones, the well-respected Inspector of the Grimsborough Police Department, her partner, and her boyfriend.

"Thank goodness...I finally did it..."whispered Ophelia, relieved and dazed.

"Ugh! What happened...?"mumbled Jones, scratching his head, exhausted when he noticed a familiar figure kneeling on the floor, the kind girl who had just kissed him and rescued him from the angry mob. She was kneeling on the path, completely dazed as she gazed at the handsome but topless Inspector.

"Oh shoot...I think I'm going to explode!" thought Ophelia, her face was totally blushing as red as a tomato as she covered her mouth, squealing secretly due to the fact that she saw her partner's naked chest while her crush approached her.

"Lia?" the man asked, looking at his blushing partner.

"Ah my lord... p-please put them o-on b-before you catch a cold!'' stammered Ophelia, blushing madly. She immediately removed the light blue shirt and the blue-grey necktie from the white silk bag and handed it over to Jones.

"Oh, you got my clothes too? Thanks!' grinned Jones, taking the garments and spent a few minutes to them all back on his fairly- built body. After that, he returned to Ophelia's side and offered help, in which the latter kindly accepted as she held Jones's hand to stand back up.

"Are you alright?" he inquired his lover.

"Yup, I'm okay..."replied Ophelia, after she brushed her black skirt while unbuttoning the only button of her black blouse.

Just then, the crowd also opened their eyes. There weren't any cats on the girl's arms. Instead, a handsome man in his early 30s was standing closely with the 24 year old girl. Some of them started to lean over to each other, discussing the unexpected thing that just occurred in front of their eyes, including the affluent family.

"What have you done to the cat? "Inquired Veronica still didn't believe that Mister Fattie was actually Inspector Jones. "What have you done to him?" she shouted towards Ophelia with agitation.

"Please, if you let me explain..." Ophelia tried to calm her down.

"I don't care! You're a thief! You took away my kitty!" added Jamie, while they both ignored that Ophelia was actually an officer. That's when Jones stepped forth.

"Excuse me, you both. That's not the way to talk to an officer! Watch your language!" warned Jones sternly to the two kids, furrowing.

"AAH!" the two kids suddenly screamed when they saw Jones's light blue eyes staring at them, they immediately hid behind their mother.

"Well, I'll be...I'm terribly sorry that my daughter and my son caused such trouble. "After realizing what happened beforehand, Mr. Fox then walked forth and apologized to Ophelia and Jones, "Let's go, Veronica, Jamie, let's go home, mama need to cook dinner."

"But, dad..." whined the two kids.

"No more buts! "Responded their dad seriously, "We'll go home and I'll explain to you all what happened. Now, be quick and go back to the car!" he ordered before following the running kids with his wife to the exit of the Town Square.

With the two spoiled, troublesome children and their parents were gone, Ophelia turned to look at her partner.

"Thanks for helping me, Jones. I'm not quite good in dealing with spoiled brats..." thanked Ophelia with the never fading blush.

"No problem, Lia." Replied Jones, "And thanks for finding me and saving me too. I would have been taken away by them if you hadn't got me later.'' He smiled with a wink to the girl.

"Well, I'm really glad that I've found you too.'' said Ophelia, shedding tears of relief. In return, Jones embraced her with a hug and planted a kiss on her cheeks. The rest of the crowd then cheered and applauded when they both hugged and kissed each other with love and sweetness.

A/N: Wow, finally did I finish this chapter! Sorry for the delay because I've been busy with college orientation these days...

To make this scene even more epic, I listened to the Transformation track from the OST of Beauty and the Beast during the composition, thus this inspired the transformation scene of Kitty Jones, and I kinda liked how it turned out.

Anyway, an epilogue will also be published soon~~
