Chapter 31

SARAHS P.O.V
All six of us were kinda just standing here not knowing what to do or how we should feel about thing. Audrey pulled me into a tight hug, not saying anything while rubbing my back. I closed my eyes as I hugged her back just as tightly.

Flashback:

I heard my parents fighting and I knew it was bad. My dad had been drinking again and when he drinks he gets very violent and rude. I got out of bed and slowly opened my door, trying not to make any sound.
"You pathetic bitch" I heard my dad yell.
I could hear him yell other things to my mom but I couldn't make out what he was saying. That's when I was now able to see them and my father goes and slaps my mother across the face.
"Don't you fucking touch my mother ever again" I yelled at my father.
"Shut the fuck up and get back to your room you whore." My father yelled back at me.
My mother looked at me and nodded meaning it was okay for me to do so. I went back to my room.
It became very quiet. All you could hear was the wind blowing outside. I couldn't sleep so I just stared out my window thinking. I heard someone coming to my room. My door opened slowly and when I looked I noticed it was just my mom.
"Pack your things please and hurry. Pack everything." Mom said to me.
I nodded. "But where's dad?" I asked.
"He left to the bar. He won't be back for a bit. I need you to pack everything and as fast as you can." Mom said panicking.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Lakewood. We are going to Lakewood for a fresh new start."

End of flashback.

I snapped back to reality and pulled away from Audrey. She was looking into my eyes still worried. I put my hand behind her neck and kissed her like it was the last time I would see her. Audrey kissed back then she was first to pull away from me and looked at me. I noticed the others were looking at me as well. I sighed.
"Thw knife is going to be in my locker." I said sadly.
"What? No why would you say that?" Audrey said.
"Yeah Sarah don't say that" Noah said along with Emma and Brooke.
"Guys wverything is happening to me. It would only make sense." I said.
"Whatever happens and whoever has the knife in their locker won't have to worry. We know neither of us did it." Emma said.
I couldn't help but think that we are completely screwed at this point and that there is no way to get out of this one.

The sheirff came out along with the other officers.
"Brooke Maddox, you are under arrest. The knife was found in your locker." The sheirff started saying. He kept talking but I couldn't help but feel shocked and so bad for Brooke. She hadn't done this but neither did any of us. Brooke didn't deserve this shit. Gustavo was freaking out saying things to his dad how Brooke never did this and shit. You could tell how pissed he was at his dad. I walked over to Brooke, I heard Audrey say my name but I ignored her.
You didn't do this, I'm going to get you out of there somehow and prove you wrong. Try not to worry okay? You are one of my best friends and I will help you get out of this." I said to Brooke.
"she nodded and whispered a thank you before she was put into the back of the police car. They drove off and I was left feeling helpless and not sure what to do now. Gustavo was really pissed and possibly in tears as he just took off. None of us followed him as we felt like it would be best to leave him be for a while.
"What sid you say to her babe?" Audrey asked me. Noah and Emma were looking at me.
"That I will do anything I can to get her out of there. She didn't do this, none of us did and I'm gonna find a way to prove them." I was in tears but I was very frustrated with everything. Noah pulled me into a hug as Emma rubbed my back. Then Audrey gave me a hug and kissed my forhead.

Audrey and I got home and I couldn't help but go straight to the fridge for food. I decided to grab a bowl of lucky charms then sat at the table, starting to eat it. Audrey was still in the doorway looking at me. She made her way over to me slowly and sat down in front of me. She studied my face carefully.
"When was the last time you ate?" She asked me.
I shrugged, I really didn't know how long ago I ate.
"Are you still having flashbacks?" Audrey asked.
I nodded slowly. "Yeah" I said quietly.
Audrey didn't say anything, she just stared at me for a moment. I finished my cereal and as I stood up Audrey pulled me up and kissed me. Her lips were so tender and sweet. She tasted like vanilla which only made me crave the kiss even more. Kissing Audrey made everything stop and it felt amazing. She pulled away, our eyes closed and her forehead leaning against mine. She felt my check gently. She leaned in and kissed me slowly, gently sucking on my lip a little.
"I love you so much. I'm always here for you babe, I'll never leave your side." She whispered.
"I love you too and I appreciate it hun, I will never leave your side either." I replied to her.
"We will save Brooke too okay. Don't worry about it." Audrey said.
I nodded.

                                                       AUDREYS P.O.V
I have been very worried about Sarah. I know she has flashbacks and hasn't been eating normally and it's scaring me, it really is. She seems to be more kept to herself which scares me too. She went upstairs to take a nap and I tucked her in but left her be. I thought maybe I could make a nice meal for us and I'm sure Sarah would love that. My phone started ringing and I noticed it was Emma calling.

"Hey Emma, what's up?" I asked.
"I just got back drom the prison, I spoke to Brooke, she's in prison." Emma said.
My heart dropped.
"In prison??? How she didn't.." Emma cut me off.
"The knife was from her house and it had her fingerprints on it." She said worriedly.
"Brooke didn't do it. Do you think Gustavo did?" I asked.
Emma was quiet for a moment before speaking.
"I know Brooke didn't do it but I'm not sure if Gustavo would do that to her but I guess we gotta keep options open I mean I didn't think Kieran would do that to me but.." I cut Emma off.
"I know Em..I'm sorry." I said sadly.
"Yeah. I just wanted to tell you this and that we need to investigate again and be careful. How's Sarah doing?"
I sighed.
"Having flashbacks and not eating much. She isn't herself Em and it's scaring me." I said.
"I know, it scares Noah and  I too. Even Brooke became worried. She's just been through a lot more than we have especially. She'll be herself again soon. I gotta go but we'll keep in touch. Bye Auds."
"Bye Em".

                                                      SARAHS P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I answered it, half awake.
"Hello?" I spoke with my morning voice.
"HELLO SARAH!!"
I sat up, my heart pounding.
"What do you fucking want from me?" I yelled into the phone.
I heard Audrey running up the stairs to come see me.
"I want you sliced open" the killer said.
Audrey made her way and grabbed the phone.
"You leave her alone you son of a bitch. You can have me but not her" Audrey yelled as she hungup the phone after. She turned to face me.
"Why would you tell him to get you instead. I rather he get me." I started crying.
Audrey came over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"To keep you safe babe." She said sweetly.
"But I don't want a life withhout you."
"I don't want a life without you either Sarah" Audrey said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

My phone buzzed meaning I had a text. Audrey still had my phone so she handed it to me and leaned on me as I was opening up the new message. It was from the killer. I looked at Audrey and she looked deep into my eyes.
"I'm right here babe. If you don't want to open it, I can do that for you if you'd like." Audrey said to me but I shook my head.
"thanks babe but I can do this." I spoke.
I opended the message.

Unknown: NEW GAME!!!

I looked at Audrey.
"New game?" I said flatly. She must of noticed my worried expression on my face.
"He has a new game for us. Usually he gives us something else to work with but that's all he sent you.?" Audrey asked me.
I nodded then all of a sudden I got another text from the killer. I read it and my heart stopped, my eyes went wide and tears instantly came to my eyes.
"No no no no no no no" I was saying as I began to cry.
Audrey pulled me into a tight hug.
"Babe what's wrong??? What did the killer say???" She asked me worriedly.
"New game. The...the...the new game...is...to find Noah. He has Noah."
