Yeah. Patty Walters. Adorable, weird, funny accent and talented in more ways than you think. I'll tell you how and when I met him, Jason and Ben. Also at the same time Christian and Luke, but they don't live with Patty so I only see them occasionally.
Since Tristan and I arrived on the same day, and then the next day Dylan arrived as did all my stuff in the lorry, Tristan and I had spent one night sleeping on the old sofa that was there in our clothes huddled together. Dylan proceeded to arrive at about five am the next day, with all his stuff. That all went un noticed by the neighbours. Then my lorry full of stuff arrived, having stopped at my brothers place first to deliver his stuff. That caused a disturbance as it was about eight in the morning, roughly the time when everyone wakes up. Jason, as I learnt his name later, was in his pyjamas standing on his doorstep watching, then when Tristan's mum showed up with a small van full of his things, that woke up everyone because that women has a mouth like a foghorn I kid you not. So then Jason, Ben, Christian and Luke were standing on the doorstep watching me in my wrinkled clothes from yesterday and messy hair, carry box after box into my house as the lorry driver chatted up Tristan's mum, Tristan hid in doors from his mum and Dylan was sitting on the lawn spraying the weeds with weed killer because the boy is a bit of a green thumb and hates weeds, so that front garden should keep him entertained for a while. We organised boxes into rooms, put the appropriate furniture into the appropriate rooms and I just went outside with Dylan and attacked the weeds with him as a form of meditation. About ten minutes later, Jason comes over.
My first impression of him up close was gorgeous, mental hair like a rainbow yeti and dressed in shorts and a t shirt in this weather I thought he was either immune to the cold or clinically insane. He walks over, stands besides me for a second then sits down on the grass next to me.
''Hey I'm Jason I live next door you must be the new neighbour'' He said cheerily and it made me smile.
''Yeah, I am the new neighbour. I'm Savanna'' I extended my hand towards him, the one habit my mum drilled into me and I will never be able to break.
He looked between me and my hand and slowly shook my hand. ''Savanna. I've heard that before''
''Savanna Addison. Daughter of stuck up, famous fashion designer and model, Midnight Addison'' I reeled off for the hundredth time and he looked blank.
''Vouge magazines wild child of 2011. I'm the loon that decided to go skinny dipping in the Trafalgar square fountain new years last year. I got arrested but my mums boyfriend bailed me out.'' He laughed.
''Yep, I know you know. I never thought I'd be sitting on the grass next to you. So why did you move here?''
''Lots of outdoor space so I can finally get a dog, and I got bored in Blackpool. I get bored a lot, but I think I'm going to stay here a while''
''That's good. Since you're new and probably not unpacked yet, how would you and your friends like to come round for dinner tonight? I can cook a mean pizza'' He beamed at me.
''That'd be nice. But I can't eat cheese.'' I said guiltily. The vegan thing started as a protest against my mum but it suited and was easy so I thought why not and I'm still vegan, four years on.
''Allergies?''
''Vegan''
''Ah, Patty is a vegan, I'll get him to cook for you two then. So say see you all the long distance next door at six?''
''Yeah that'd be perfect. Hey what's that'' I pointed into the distance and when he turned to look I felt his hair.
''Did you just feel my hair?'' He laughed.
