Chapter 5

Vanessa's Pov:

As soon as I heard that bitch say 'Justin' I wanted to cry. I just knew that wolf was telling me that was my mates name. the fact that she was saying his name with so much affection made me want to knock her lights out, but mostly cry. I wanted to cry SO much more. That fucking, dick sucking, ass, bitch was calling my man's name.... wait let me rethink this.

He's obviously not my man if he has a girlfriend. Also why should I care, I'm not gonna be here for long he won't be able to stay with me, I haven't seen what he looks like and he hasn't seen me so let's keep it that way. All I have to do is completely avoid him.. at all costs. It shouldn't be that hard all I have to turn a different direction when ever I can smell his scent no matter how intoxicating it is.

With that said I skipped lunch and tried to find my way to my next class. I think I had Social Studies next so all had to do was find that room.

I got to the room to find out I had another five minutes before the bell would ring. So knowing I had time to spare I ran to my locker only to find out it was just right around the corner. I got to my locker and opened it and a folded up note tumbled out. I picked it up and stared at it for a while. Why should I open this? This note might mean I'm in danger because of my old pack, my original pack, my home. But what are the chances of that right? Me and my family cover our tracks well and end up leaving before they the chance to search for us so that by the time they to that town we will be long gone, and their search starts all over again. So I read the note it said,

Hello Vanessa, I haven't really known you for long but I'd really like that chance to get to know you . If you'd let me that is. So if you say yes to my offer than I'll take you as my date to the high school welcoming party for you, at Camile' s and Conner' s house. It's this Saturday. Please reply.

Love, Devin.

Alright then. So now I have a guy here who likes but I've also got my mate who could be searching for me right now. Ain't my life just beautiful. Note the heavy sarcasm. Well on the bright side this could end up good for me.

Justin's Pov:

My mates scent faded which means that she's no longer in the cafeteria. That lovely scent of hers, practically gone. It's kind of upsetting. Oh who am I kidding it's completely upsetting. My thoughts were interrupted by Devin tapping my shoulder.

" Yo bro bitch at 12 o'clock" he stated matter of factly. But sure enough straight ahead was none other than Tiffany.  I still need to get rid of her,  huh. Well I'll meet my mate first, then I'm gonna drop Tiffany like a fricken kick ball. Yep that sounds about right, alright good plan.

And acting mode is officially on " oh my gosh Tiffany, babe how have you been?" see I told you.. acting.

" I'm not good at all that little nerd just ran right into me she's a 'were' because her scent is all over me. I mean is this really what we all smell like or is just her." Tiffany stated in absolute disgust.

"Oh I'm sorry babe. What a bitch though who just do that, to you none the less." In fact I'm not sorry because that was my mates scent all over Tiffany. Who's name still seems to be unknown. I'll find it out sooner or later... most likely sooner. How hard could it be. I mean it's not like she doesn't go to this school and I'll probably find her soon. I'll also figure out what she looks like.

Probably gorgeous. She would probably be like an angel sent from heaven above, lost in the earth below it. Sent just for me, and only me. I mean what else would you expect for an alpha wolf's mate.

"Ok  guys I have a quick announcement to make, I just wanted to tell you guys that... I asked out the new girl" Devin stated to our table while standing up.

"Aww bro you know we all wanted her why can't we just share" Jesse said while smirking.

"Hey does that mean I can have her when you're done" Ryan replied to Devin.

"Would you pigs give the girl a break she's not even been here a week and you are all after her, it's kind of disturbing. Plus I've never met her, so she can't be that amazing. What's her name anyway?" I ranted.

"First off she is that amazing, second of all it doesn't matter if we all want her because I asked her out first, third of all her name is Vanessa and how haven't you seen her yet?" Devin replied in an almost yelling tone.

"Because I haven't seen her yet that's why" I said back in a calm, mocking tone.

"Whatever I'm gonna see her this coming class period so I'm gonna go now so I'll see her early." And with that said Devin walked away slightly irritated. But though I've never seen her, her name became stuck in my brain. Maybe I'll meet her soon.
