chapter 12

First off I am sorry this had to take so long and I'm trying to make these less short but for today it's just gonna be a small update. I've been getting more and more exhausted lately and can't get up in the mornings even tho I pass out early at night. It's sad I know considering I used to b the queen of night owls in my neighborhood. -_-

Vanessa's Pov:

It's Monday!!! Back to school I go!I am in a very good mood right now which means today I must dress to impress! I walked into my closet and immediately began skimming through all of my clothes. I didn't really know where I stood with Justin right now but why not make him know what he's missing.

I saw one of my favorite pairs of shoes and instantly got inspiration for my entire outfit. I grabbed the necessary clothing pieces of clothing and made my way to my bed where I set out all my clothes properly. I went into the bathroom where I took a shower and did my eyeliner with a perfect cat eye and put my mascara and white shimmer eyeshadow.

I skipped out of the bathroom in my towel and started my music and began dancing around really weirdly. But I didn't care I was alone! or so I thought.....

" That's is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.." I turned around to fast and slipped on the water that was dripping from my hair. I didn't know which would be more embarrassing dropping my towel or falling on my face. So I used one hand to hold my towel and the other to stop my fall. But I when i fell the hard wood floor wasn't as painful as expected.I looked up to see who my stalker was only to find out that they disappeared.

"Down here Ess.."said a strained voice. I looked down and was about to scream than a hand came up to cover my mouth so it was muffled. I looked at my attacker to find it was Devin. I jumped up frantically.

"What the hell are doing in here?!" I whispered yelled while blushing madly. I clutched my towel tighter to chest so it wouldn't fall.

"I came to see if u were ready for school but clearly u aren't properly dressed yet..." Devin joked smirking.

"Yeah very funny now get the fuck out" I scolded.

"nope I'm enjoying the view right where I am."

I could honestly call my brother or dad in but that wouldn't be low enough for my standards.

" Okay suit yourself ..." I smirked. Devin began blushing a very bright red when I fixed my towel so it wouldn't fall I walked toward him swaying my hips purposely. I got close and walked right around grabbed my clothes and was about out walk my bedroom door to parade around in only my towel.

"Hey! you can't do that! all the unmated males will see you!" Devin nearly screamed.

"Yeah and..." I asked innocently.

" they'll attack you and not in a violent way.." Devin blushed. Internally smirking I made a pouty face and looked at Devin through my eyelashes. The classic puppy dog look, it always works for me.

"But Dev.. if u won't leave my room I can't change for school. I was just gonna go look for a new place to change.." I pouted as I started bringing on the water works.

" but your bathroom is right there" Devin said slowly.

"It's all steamy from my shower.." I nearly whined.

" and your closet..??"

"It's too cold in there"I said while rubbing my arms. That statement wasn't actually false. 

Devin looked like he was contemplating a life or death situation. So I tried walking back to the door. I had the door open by merely a crack when it was slammed shut by Devin' s hand.

" I told you that you can't do that!"

"but I have to change for school!" I whined.

"u will stop at nothing will you.."Devin muttered. " fine! I'm going... be ready in 15 minutes Ess."

"Kay-kay!!" I giggled and pushed him out of my room. I locked my door to prevent other weirdos from entering my room without my permission. I continued getting ready by drying my hair and straightening it I put my outfit on as I walked to toward my door I grabbed my phone, stay glossy lip gloss, sunglasses, leather jacket, and backpack. I made my way down stairs where Devin waited playing on his phone. I jumped off the last few steps to get his attention. 

He looked up a second before doing a double take In the process dropping his phone. I smirked and walked right past him while he was getting his phone I grabbed his keys and bolted out the door. Who ever said running in heels was hard lied. 

I made it half way to the car before I was picked up and spun around in the air. Devin and I were laughing madly because of my attempt at escape. He set me down by the car and opened the door for me. We both got in and headed for the school.

The drive to school was like any other quiet and casual but Devin seemed sort of on edge and nervous. I decided not to question it and left it be.

We got to school very early and I liked it that way. It gave me time to socialize and get any homework done that I didn't finish. There is 20 minutes where I can get to know my new environment. I wasn't looking forward to making friends so instead I was gonna try make people fear me.. it always worked out better in the end. But the challenge will be much worse with meeting my mate and all.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear....

I looked up just in time to see him running toward me and Devin he did not look happy but most definitely not vicious. Justin looked about ready to kill slinging his arm over me as he walked up. He kissed my temple acting as if that was normal for us.

So what now we flirt a bit kiss and now we r the cutest couple?? He hasn't even asked me properly yet. I don't care if we r mates anyway I won't be here forever or anything. It's not like my inner wolf isn't loving it though... same for me.....I guess.

Devin watched shocked opening and closing his mouth like a dying fish. Justin just pulled me tighter into his side glaring at his best friend. When Devin regained his composure he stood up straighter acting tough.

" Why are holding Ess like that?" Devin about growled. Unsure of what to do I tried to shrink back to make myself invisible.

" Oh u mean my mate. Well I didn't like how you were looking at My mate," Justin emphasized, "what is wrong with me holding MY mate in anyway?" Justin asked cockily and angrily. Devin blankly stared at the both of us back and forth.

His face grew a look of devastation before saying " ..wait.... mate..???"

The next thing Justin did it made things worse.. thanks again asshole for kissing me in front the entire school.
