Chapter 11

Vanessa's Pov:

Devin and I were having a blast! I only had one drink but I'm not so sure about Devin. We've been dancing most of the night. Though to everyone else, grinding was a must, me and Devin just danced by each other, instead of with each other.

I've caught Justin looking over at us several times. He looked sad and jealous of Devin and I's fun. It makes me feel bad, but I'm not the one avoiding him. He is the one who won't talk to me.. I'm just assisting him from having to come near me. I want to know what he meant yesterday, but it's his decision.

Devin and I were dancing to a very fast song, when this girl shoved me away from Devin and started grinding on him. I mean dude... What the actual fuck? I girl turned to smirk at me so I booty bumped her outta the way and started to dance with Devin again. Devin smiled at me and spun me around so my back was facing him. His arm was across my shoulders and I was holding his hand as we swayed together. His head was resting on my shoulder and I kissed on the cheek.

"I'm giving this girl a show wanna help?"I whispered in his ear. He nodded his head and we began dancing again this time though we ball room danced. We were doing the salsa and moving fast the crowd cleared a circle for us to dance in. We continued with our show and that girl was in the front row, glaring at me. I smirked at her, than I looked Devin and mouthed big finish.

He nodded and smiled widely as he took both of my hands and we cha-chaed to the edge of the circle of people. He than his hands on my waist and tossed me in the air and caught me perfectly. I knew what finish we wanted to do now,but it was very fast so I had to focus. He began to set me down quickly so stay on the ground and he slid me under his legs than he lifted his leg and picked me up quickly with my back facing him we swayed. He let go of my hands and put his hands on my waist. He started turning my hips telling me the next move to do. I threw my hands up in the air and winded my hips slowing going down into crouching position with one leg stretched out next to me. Once I landed in this position my hands were resting in Devin's.

Devin picked me up quickly and spun me around three times ending in a dip. My leg was bent and the other was straight. Devin began leaning down toward me. Maybe to kiss me..I would never know, because right before it happened the girl came and  pushed me down before kissing Devin very sloppily.

Devin finally escaped the kiss. he looked at the girl with disgust and ...relief? I got up slowly and stood behind her, looking intimidating. She turned around and glared at me, I started to pull my fist back but some one stopped me from bringing it to her face. I turned and saw Devin.

"don't fight her she's only a human, you would win in a second. Give her a challenge she thinks, key word thinks, she has a chance at winning" Devin whispered. I relaxed my fist and he let go and I forced a smile on my face. By now the music had stopped and every one was watching me. Wolves were terrified and humans were confused.

"What do u say we do something else like a competition of some sort?" I asked faking kindness.

"Why? Are you to scared to get your ass beat?" she smirked.

I glared back, " No! I just don't feel like going to jail for animal abuse tonight!"

Everyone started laughing loudly. " Fine!" she yelled,"we'll have a dance battle, loser leaves the party."

"Winner is determined by the crowd"I said calmly

"Alright" she smirked. Devin pulled me toward him.

" She has been on dance team for years! She taken dance classes since she could walk! what in the hell are you thinking?" He freaked out.

"did u mid just dance with me or something?" realization hit him hard," You thought that was all you? Didn't you?" Devin started blushing badly"You did!Oh my gawd!!You honestly thought I was gonna lose too" I whispered the last part and walked back into the circle.
