Marinas pov

I woke up from my nightmare in a cold sweat.
"Marina are you ok?" Finnick asked running into my room
"Ohh umm ya sorry Finn" I said
"Are you sure?" He asked
"Umm ya I guess" I said and he walked over to me.
"No your not now tell me what it was about" he said sitting beside me on the silky white sheeted queen bed and putting an arm around my shoulders
"It was just me dying in the hunger games by that guy from district 1" I said as if it was no big deal
"That's not going to happen." Finnick said
"How are you so sure?" I asked
"Because you are amazing at a bow, swords and using a trident." Finnick said
"Thanks Finn" I said putting my head on his shoulder
"Go back to sleep" he said
"Thanks. You can leave if you want to" I said not wanting him to be up all night because of me.
"No it's ok. I'll stay here" he said and we laid down. I put my head on his chest and fell straight asleep. I woke up the next morning to see finnick not beside me. I know he slept with me so he must have just got up for breakfast or something. I walked to the kitchen and saw everyone down there.
"Hi" I said still tired
"Quickly eat. The stylists are coming in 10" candy said and I grabbed a piece of toast. And eat it watching the news on the tv.
"Come on marina we need to go" nico said walking in
"Ok, I'm coming" I said and I got up and followed them into the elevator with all the walls being a mirror to give a more opened look. We went to the bottom floor and got into a separate room so the stylist team could get to work. They washed me and waxed almost ever hair on my body again and nico gave me a dress to wear.it was a one strap that went over my right shoulder and was a beautiful teal blue colour. I put it on and walked out of the bathroom.
"Beautiful, now come sit" he said patting the black spinning stylist chair in front of a huge mirror. I sat down and turned to face him and my back to the mirror then he started with my hair then my face.
"Are you done yet?" I nagged
"Not just yet" he said
"Now?" I asked
"Ok... Now" he said and I opened my eyes and spun the look in the mirror. Beautiful. That's all I could say my hair was pulled to one side and was lightly curled my eyes were blue with some blue gems coming from the corner of my right eye out and some of the gems on my right shoulder. My lips were pink and my cheeks were also pink. It was just beautiful.
"Oh my gosh nico. It gets better every time" I said
"Thanks now lets go for your interview and remember to spin" he said and we left. Once we got there Carson was doing his interview.
"So why do you think people should sponsor you?" Caesar asked looking at Carson in the big comfy red chair.
"Actually no. I don't want any sponsors. I'm not having any Sponsors or mentors." Carson said proud
"Really?" Caesar asked confused
"Ya I want to try to do this alone that is why I told finnick to just focus on marina she needs it" he said and now everyone was shocked. He was being really rude!
"Ok well it was nice talking to you Carson and good luck" Caesar said and everyone slowly clapped as Carson walked off.
"Have fun" Carson said as he walked past me.
"You know her as the ocean girl from district 4 here is Marina Calto!" Caesar said and I walked out to the big red chair that Carson was just sitting in before.
"Wow! You look good" Caesar complemented
"Thank you Caesar you don't look to bad yourself" I said and sat down on the seat
" thank you marina. Now tell us about your family." He said just going I I the questions.
"Well there isn't much to say. My mom had me when I was 18 and my sister at 16 so my sister is 3 years older than me. The year I was born was also the year that both my mom and dad went in the hunger games and well... They died. And my sister basically raised me. Well with a little bit of help from my best friends family. but now my sister is too busy working so we don't starve that I never see me sister anymore. And I wasn't able to talk to my best friend for a year and so. Umm ya so basically for the past year or so I was alone." I said
"Ohh really, That is pretty sad. But who is your best friend and why couldn't you talk to him?" He asked
"You really want to know?" I asked and the crowd and him canted over and over yes or tell us.
"Ok, ok. I'll tell you. My best friends name is finnick Odair" I said and a bunch of gasped went threw the crowd and Caesar.
"Really?" He asked leaning in to know more.
"Yes he is. And I wasn't able to talk to him because of the games, victory tour and snow wouldn't let us. So when I got picked for the games we finally started to talk because well.... He's my mentor and it's pretty weird when you have your best friend as a mentor. Like he's only 2 days older and because of this he thinks he is like 2 years older and tells me what to do. Which I don't like. But I guess he should get his turn since when we were younger I told him what to do" I said jokingly getting some laughs from the audience
"Really now?" Caesar questioned
"Ya but if you ask him he will say it's not true. He's a little stubborn" I said
"NO IM NOT!" We heard finnick from backstage getting some more laughs
"Be quiet Finn" I yelled
"Finn... Do you have a nick name?" Caesar asked
"Nope.not really. Like he called my fishy but that didn't really stay so I guess I don't" I said thinking about it.
"Well you do now! Your the ocean girl! But you are also being called the girl from the sea. what do you like better?" Caesar said and some cheers came from the audience.
"I don't know... it doesn't really matter.. either way im from the water.. that reminds me. Do you like my dress" I asked standing up
"Ya it's really nice" Caesar complimented and more cheers from the audience
"Well you might like it a bit more after I do this" I said and started spinning.some water started to fall down the skirt part of the dress.
"Wow! Don't want to flood the stage now do we?" Caesar said getting some laughs. I stopped and sat back down on the chair.
"I'm sorry" I said
"No it ok. Now back to what we were talking about. Your parents dying in the hunger games and your best friend winning the hunger games. That's interesting. I hope you do what your best friend did and win though" he said
"Ya really" I said
"Well thank you for coming and good luck" he said and I smiled and waved goodbye to the crowd walking off to the right side of the stage.
"I'm not stubborn!" Finnick yelled tackling me to the ground
"1st of all yes you are and 2nd get off me fatty!" I yelled tryin to get him off but it didn't work.
"1 no! And 2 not until you say your sorry" he said
"Fine.... I'm sorry" I huffed
"Good" finnick said getting off of me
"Sorry that your stubborn" I said and I started to run to the elevator just down the hall with finnick chasing behind me.
"Close, close, close. Close" I said clicking the elevator button
"Not so fast" finnick said stopping the elevator as it was about to close. Swearing under neath my breath I stepped over to the right so finnick could come in.
"Good girl" finnick said petting my head
"Don't pet me" I hissed hitting his arm
"Feisty" he said as the elevator door opened and we walked into the room.
"NIGHT!" I yelled and went into my room not bothering with food. I put the window to the ocean and just sat there staring at it not even noticing finnick walk in with a tray of food.
"Here" he said putting the tray of food on the red wood side table beside my bed and sitting beside me on the bed.
"Thanks" I said not taking my eyes off of the screen
"It's beautiful isn't it" finnick said looking at the screen as well
"It reminds me of home" I said
"Ya.. Hey your going to come back." Finnick said looking at me.
"But what if I don't" I said turning to face him. That's when I noticed that I started to cry. Finnick threw his arms around me.
"You will. I'll help you. If you get hungry ill try to get you food. If your thirsty, water. If your cold, a blanket. I'll try my best" he said
"Thank you" I said
"That's what a mentor does" finnick said
"Not for that" I said
"Then for what?" He asked
"For being my friend, for being there, and for caring about me" I said looking at him
"Look marina. About the friends thing. I wanted to tell you something. It's very personal and if you don't feel the same I under stand but please do not laugh at me" finnick rambled avoiding eye contact.
"Look Finn what ever you say I won't laugh at, just tell me" I said smiling
"Ok....marina I like... No I love y.... Y.... Yogurt" finnick said saying the last part fast.
"And why would I laugh at that? I love yogurt too!" I said smiling
"Ok... Umm night marina see you tomorrow" finnick said and left the room. Something tells me that he didn't want to tell me that. Ohh well I need to sleep. Tomorrow is the day I meet my death.

Finnicks pov (WHATTT?!)

I should have told her! Stupid stupid stupid! That's all I am! Is STUPID! Marina I love you. How hard is it to say those 4 darn words! Ughh I need to tell her tomorrow. If I don't ill be mad at myself for not telling her when I could.
