Chapter 24

Back in the arena.

Marinas pov

I wake up still in finnicks arms. I look up and see him still sleeping peacefully. I try to get out of his grasp but sadly I couldn't.

"Finnick... wake up" I whispered in his ear. nothing. I hit him softly on his white t-shirt covered chest but still nothing.

"Finnick!" I said louder. I hit him a bit more but after about 5 minutes I quit and just laid back down with him. it was about half an hour until he started to move.

"M-marina?" he said in a tired voice.

"Finnick.... can you let me go now?" I asked

"No." He said smirking and making his grasp on me tighter.

"I hate you" I said

"Thanks" he said still not letting me go no matter how hard I try. I kicked him in the shin as hard as I could but he didn't show any emotion that I did anything. then I had an idea. it probably won't work but I must try! I put my cold hands under his shirt that he was wearing and started to tickle him.

"MARINA! s-stop! i-its cold! a-and it t-tickles" finnick gasped In between laughs. he finally released me and I ran out to the dinning room.

"Good morning marina" nico said

"Ohh morning" I said and saw finnicks stylist in there too.

"MARINA! GET BACK HERE!" I heard finnick say. Running after me but stopped when he saw the stylists.

"It's time guys." nico sighed. I knew exactly what he meant, it was time to go back in the arena.

"Ohh ok" I said looking at finnick sharing a scared expression

"It'll be ok marina. see you in the hovercraft" he said and his stylist took him somewhere.

"Ok put some cloths on and let's go" nico said and I put a black t-shirt and black pants on. I'm going to be changing anyways. I took one last look at the room. "good bye world." I mumbled grabbed my mothers pin and put it on my t-shirt. I walked into the living room to where nico was and took an apple eating it on the way to the hovercraft. I got onto the hovercraft and took a seat looking at all the tributes. I looked at katniss and peeta. they looked scared then at wiress and beetee. they didn't have any emotion. then I look beside me to see finnick looking at me.

"You ready?" he asked

"No... you?" I asked

"Nope" he said and we got injected with the trackers. after a bit I was taken away from finnick and the rest of them.

"See you in there!" I heard finnick yell before I was pushed to a room. I walked into the metal room and look around. then randomly a image of a young finnick walked into my room and nico walking out. then me and finnick talking, but me having to go I stepped into the glass tube thing and then finnick kissed me saying he loved me and me yelling that I loved him back...wow. that was really weird. was that a memory or was it just my imagination? I shook the thought out of my head and put on the wetsuit that we had to wear. pinning my pin onto the suit I walked around the room waiting for nico. then the door bursts open with nico running in.

"I'm sorry marina. I was held back for a second" he apologized

"No, no it's ok" I said

"Please go into the tube" the intercom said.

"Nico.. I don't want to" I said

"It's ok. you will come out. alive. and healthy" he said

"Ya like last time" I said sassy

"No not like last time. now go in there and make your district proud!" He said and I went in the glass tube

"Thank you nico" I said

"For what?" he asked

"Everything you've done for me your a good friend" I said

"Well your welcome." he said and the glass tube closed. but I wasn't being pushed up.

"Nico? what's going on? finnick said once it closes I will be pushed up" I said confused

"I don't know" he said and looked around. then suddenly 4 peace keepers bursts throw the door and took nico away from the room, away from me.

"NICO" I yelled as they closed the metal door. then I started to be pushed up. I looked around and saw water and little rocky edges every 2 tributes. I look around to find wiress, beetee, finnick, johanna, peeta and katniss but couldn't find anyone. Is this really happening?! I'm back in the arena and couldn't find my friends! I then looked at corn and saw a trident! yes!

"30, 29, 28" the robot voice counted. then I had a image of a younger me running into the corn but getting tackled by this dude but being saved by this girl and I ran off with the girl and 2 others. then the vision blurred out... what is happening!

"5,4,3,2,1" the robot voice said and I did a perfect dive into the water swimming to the rocky edge and running to corn. I grab the trident and run to find everyone but being stopped by someone throwing a spear. blocking it i saw someone throw a knife at him. I look back and see the victor from 8. I was Blocking the knifes he threw but then he hit my arm. Cussing I threw the trident hitting him in the heart. but the scene changed to a younger looking guy falling instead of him. And a really young body below me. then the scene changed back and I grabbed the trident and ran to the other side of corn and saw everyone

"MARINA!" finnick yelled

"Are you ok?" katniss asked

"What? ohh this ya I'm good" I said pulling out the knife that was in my arm. I look and saw peeta beside katniss.

"Where is johanna, wiress and beetee?" I asked

"We don't know and when were you friends with wiress and beetee?" finnick asked

"When you guys left me yesterday" I said laughing.

"Ohh ok. let's go and gather the weapons" finnick said and we looked around. after we got everything and I was alone I took a step back so I was just at the line of the island and the water. I looked up at the cornucopia but then the scene changed again to me on top of it with the guy who tackled me. we were fighting and then I killed him but i fell off hitting my head on the way down. I shake my head and look around. but all I could see was a different arena half water, quarter forest and quarter dessert. Then it changed to me running away from huge waves, then to acrtion, barly and Lilly dead and me killing, then me telling finnick I loved him in a cave, the kiss before I got in the games, what he said before the games, my past with finnick and his family, living with my sister, growing up in district 4, everything hit me like train. next thing I new was me being engulfed in cold wet water and darkness.
