Stupid birds

Finnicks pov

I was running into the jungle not caring about anything or anyone.

"Finnick! stop! there just birds!" katniss yelled as a bird fell and marinas cry stopped.

"B-but" I said staring at the bird

"There jabber jays." she explained

"But how do you think they got that cry? jabber jays repeat what they have heard... WHERE DID THEY GET THAT CRY?!" I started to get mad because i was with her everyday when she lost her memory and when we got called into the quell. was I not?

"PRIM!" I heard katniss yell and that's when I found out that a smaller voice was crying out for katniss.

"Katniss! no! it's the capitol! not her!" I yelled running after her

"Like you said... they mimic. how did they get her cry?!" she yelled. that's when a guys voice was heard.

"GALE!" katniss yelled. then marinas voice came back but that wasn't all... Mikaela, my 12 year old sister and Bridey, my 17 year old sisters voice came too. how did they get there crys? where are they! are they ok!

"FINNICK!" I heard Mikaelas voice yell right into my ear. soon all the birds started to swarm us so me and katniss ran. we quickly found the others but we couldn't hear anything they were saying so we just keep running as fast as we can. we were almost there when... BAM! we hit a invisible wall... so this is it. we are trapped in her for an hour with these jabber jays making our ears bleed. this should be fun. I quickly put my palms over my ears, shut my eyes and just slid down the glass wall and putting my face in me knees.

Marinas pov

After I stopped looking for the paper I walked off into the jungle to see what I can do. nothing really. that's when I heard my own voice cry for help. I'm not doing that. soon I heard finnick yell and then I didn't hear anything. weird... I started to walk in the direction of the sound curious.... but I walked into an invisible wall. I looked inside and saw birds everywhere. this is weird. I continued to walk a bit but then I felt something cold go on my neck. I quickly tensed up.

"Hello there marina... where is you little group?" a sickening voice said.

"Why do you care?" I asked

"Because you killed some of my team" the voice yelled back.

"JUST GET AWAY!" I yelled

"Shut up!" he yelled digging the knife deeper into my neck.

"HELP!" I yelled again

"STOP!" he yelled and then I felt something thick go down my neck...blood.

"UGH!" I yelled and I kicked the guy in the shin and when he backed the knife away I kicked him in the face and skidding my foot under is feet so he fell on the ground.

"DONT... make me kill you" I said putting my foot on his chest... first mistake. he grabbed my foot making me fall on the hard ground. he quickly got on top of me and started to punch me. after the 5th punch I grabbed his fist and made him fall on his back so I could go on top and punch him. soon we were rolling on the ground throwing punches. until I felt something hit my left shoulder letting a cry of pain fall out of my lips, I got off of the guy and fell on my back seeing a spear in my shoulder. I slowly pulled it out wishing that I hadn't and saw all the blood fall out of the cut and fall onto the ground like a stream. I put my arm over top of my shoulder in hopes to stop the bleeping. I quickly turned to my right and say the guy that I was fighting on the ground with no breath. then I looked up a bit and saw peeta, Johanna and beetee staring down at me.

"Hi" I said weakly. this really isn't my week. I got attacked in the arm like 5 times, I lost finnick, hurt my back, hurt my ankle and a monkey tried to eat me. ohh and dont forget about that fog!

"marina?" Johanna asked

"Hey guys! what up?" I asked smiling

"Oh my goodness... MARINA!" Johanna yelled running over to me followed by beetee and peeta.

" hey Johanna. what have you been up to? I was just hanging out and fighting that idiot." I said pointing to the guy beside me.

"Marina. I thought you were dead! why did you go?" she asked

"Because you needed to save katniss' life" I said, "speaking of katniss... where is she?" I asked and thats when peeta ran off.

"Her and finnick are in there" she said pointing to the part of jungle where the invisible wall was.

"Ohh" I said

"Ya. umm I'm sorry about spearing you" she said looking guilty

"Don't worry about it! I get speared all the time!" I joked trying to lighten the mood

"Here let me wrap this up" she said rolling her eyes a little bit. she dug into her poket and pulled out some fabric that would be able to stop the bleeding. she quickly wrapped it around my shoulder and helped me up up.

"Come on let's go" she said putting my arm around her shoulders.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"To the others" she said and I limped with her all the way to the others. Finally we got there and I saw katniss in a ball shaking with peetas arms around her and beside them I saw beetee standing awkwardly and across from them leaning up on a tree, also in a ball, was a pail faced Finnick with his eyes bulged out and what looked like blood dripping from his ear. what happened?

"f-finnick?"
