1 Week Later
It's been one week since you all started to attend Hope's Peak High School. You had all introduced each other and began to bond a little. You got in with Sayaka, Yasuhiro, Makoto, Aoi and Celestia. You still haven't had a chance to say sorry to Kirigiri. The first period of class was about to begin. You sat at your desk next to Sayaka and Kirigiri, with Mondo and Makoto in front of you. You noticed that Aoi and Celes weren't here. They would be sitting to either side of Mondo and Makoto. The teacher was taking rollcall.
Junko and Ikusaba weren't here either. But no one seemed to care because they never got along with anyone in the class but each other. Ohgami too. she usually kept to her own but she would sometimes hang out with your group because Aoi said she should.
Byakuya stayed alone, well nearly alone. He always had Fukawa following him, leaving a trail of drool.
Mondo would always be out with his older brother. Doing all sorts of things with his other gang members. It's terrifying to think about what kind of things they do...
Yamada and Fujisaki where always using technology of some sort. Together they would make and test games with Yamada being the "Ideas boy", but this would usually lead to some of the games being 18+.
Ishimaru was always walking around policing other students. If you followed him around you would see that breaking the rules seems to be an everyday thing for Hope's Peak.
And Kirigiri would be reading a book. On a hill. Under a tree. Near the oval. Alone.
Today you were wandering around aimlessly when you came past Kirigiri sitting at her alone tree. You leaned over her.
"How's my favourite Mystery Chick?" You said, which caused her to flinch. Cute. She glanced up at you.
"I'm not bad actually." She looked back down at her book.
You opened your mouth to ask her what book it was, but remembered what she said last time you asked. You walked beside her and sat. She had no reaction to this, as if you didn't exist.
You looked at the front cover. "The Fifth Victim." You read aloud "What's it about?" You looked at her and she turned we looked into each others eyes for a bit. She finally answered.
"It's about a detective who's pursuing a personal case, and came to a town almost in the middle of nowhere." You stared at her blankly.
She got the hint that you wanted her to continue. She took a breath and sighed.
"During his search for a loved one's killer he came across a girl who claimed to have visions about the victims the killer had taken. She even knew how they were killed, which matched the way he killed his loved one. He was still doubtful however, he never believed in that kind of stuff."
"Was she telling the truth?" You asked. She stared at you blankly. "Y'know about her having visions and such?"
"Yes, she was." Her reply caused a sudden silence.
You stared into her lilac eyes. You noticed a group of girls giggling about 10 meters behind you. Looking at you while laughing. You were confused.
"Do I have something on my face?" You muttered to yourself.
"No your face is fine." Kirigiri spoke up. You turned to her. "They're laughing because they think you're attractive."
"Oh?" You say quietly. You lifted her chin up with your finger. "And you think the same am I correct?" You noticed a bit of red flare up on her cheeks. Then it quickly disappeared. She nudged your hand away.
"Buzz off, I'm not one of those girls you can play around with in the palm of your hand." You laughed.
"Oh we'll see about that." You muttered. She looked at you with a blank face. You laughed again. "You're so innocent."
"What do you mean? Of course I am, I haven't murdered anyone before." You laughed. "What's so funny?" She asked me with an, oh so innocent face.
"Hehe. Never mind~" You said in a sing-songy voice.
She gave you a soft shove. "Hey tell me." You chuckled. "Why are you laughing? Tell me, tell me" You laughed more. She got on her knees and faced you. She shoved you harder.
"If you don't tell me I'll push you off this hill and onto the oval, where you'll be trampled by the football players and have a soccer ball kicked into your face."
You looked at her for a moment, then looked away. "Man you're vicious." You said to the sky. A pause. You looked back at her. "Just you try." She grunted and crawled behind you. You clutched the grass and dug your foot into the dirt. You braced yourself to try and prove her wrong.
"Woah what's that?" She says with a shocked, yet curious voice.
You turned to her and saw her pointing to the left. You looked to see the main school building, letting your guard down.
"I don't see any-" You felt a fist ram into the back of your head "Ow! what was that for!?" You exclaimed.
You put your hands on the back of your head, letting go of the grass. You felt Kirigiri's gloved hands pushing you down the hill. Down the hill towards the oval. Towards the oval where football and soccer players were running around...
