Missing

You walked into class and Sayaka was holding your hand. Aoi trailed behind us.

"Oh my god! You two look so cute together!!" Aoi squealed.

You quickly shook off Sayaka's hand.

"Ah no, we're just friends." You said, while lightly scratching the back of your head. Sayaka shot a look at you.

"But I..." She started, then seemingly changed her mind. "Oh yeah, we're just just friends." She laughed awkwardly then slumped back to her desk.

Aoi went after her.

"Aww, Sayaka you can't just change your mind like that." Aoi babbled about how Sayaka and I are perfect, she went on about how she's popular and how I'm popular and that I could be her bodyguard.

You sighed and walked to your desk, noticing that Kiri wasn't next to you... you immediately began to miss her...

"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" You looked at Sayaka.

"Oh, I-It's nothing." Sayaka let out... A concerned frown... Sayaka was worried. About me. "N-No, everything's fine really." Sayaka put her hand over yours.

"Hey I can tell if something's wrong or not, after all I am an esper." She smiled. Her smile put you at ease. You smiled back.

Kiri walked in. Sayaka's hand was still l over yours. You looked at her, and she ran out, you caught a glimpse of her flowing hair and her black hair ribbon.

"Hey! Wait up! Kiri!" You quickly ran over to the door.

"Hey! (Y/N)! Where are you going?" Sayaka called out from behind me, you answered without looking back.

"Don't worry I'll be fine!!" You ran out of the classroom, but you couldn't see Kiri, even in this massive hallway, she could be behind one of the pillars.

You searched behind all of them, wondering why you were searching. She had to come back to class eventually.

"Kiri!!"

But...

"Kiri!!"

Something inside of you...

"Kiri!! Where are you!?"

You ran outside into the central plaza. A large park-like space overgrown with trees.

"Kiri!!"

Something inside of you...

"Hey Kiri!! Come on you're gonna be late and I'm gonna have to rescue you from that stupid hologram!!"

Something inside of you wanted to look for her. For who knows why.

"Kiri!! Come out!! Why are you hiding!?"

As you said this you asked yourself, why are you searching?

"Hey!! Ki-" As you shouted, you heard sobbing behind a tree. "Kiri?"

You walked slowly towards the tree. Sniffling and whimpering leaked from behind the tree. You walked around the tree with my hand on it. You saw Miss Yukizome. Her back to the tree and her knees held up to her face, she had her arms around her legs.

"Miss Yukizome?" You called to her.

She raised her head and looked at you, her face was covered in tears.

"Please leave me alone." Miss Yukizome said with a shaky voice.

"Miss Yukizome, what's wrong?" I asked sitting next to her.
