*Anthony's POV, Later That Day*
"Anthony. Just the person I'm looking for. Come in here." Wes didn't even let me answer before steering me into a conveniently located empty recording room. Ian was already in the room, sitting in a chair and waiting for us. I sat down next to him, and Wes sat down across from us. He took a deep breath, then said,
"Okay. I need you guys to not tell (Y/N) what happened." Wes looks at Ian, who looks ready to protest, and stops him before he can speak.
"Ian. I know she needs to know. She deserves to know. But... It's my fault she has a concussion in the first place so I feel like I should be the one to tell her." Wes looked down at his hands, which were placed on his lap, looking about ready to cry. I feel really bad for him. I mean, of course I'm upset because he slapped the girl I'm in love with and caused her pain, but I have to feel for him.
"Wes... It's okay. Alright? We won't say anything to her. Of course, if she asks, you can't ask me to lie to her. But we won't tell her, and I am speaking for Ian as well." I say. Ian and I have already talked about this. I know what he's thinking already and it's not an issue for right now.
"Yeah. We won't say a thing as long as you tell her the truth and nothing but that. If she hears a lie from you she will tell Mari who will tell me or Anthony. But I trust you, okay? Just... Be a good person and at least tell her by the end of this week. It's only Tuesday, anyway." Ian added. With a small smile on his face, Wes looked up at us.
"Thank you. Thank you both for being so understanding. I know what I did was an accident but I've started avoiding (Y/N) and she's going to catch on. So thank you for being there for me."
"That's what friends are for, buddy." I commented. Then Ian spoke up.
"Not to intrude on anything... But it's been bugging me so I'm just going to ask. What were you two arguing about? When me and (Y/N) were walking down the hall, we could hear you a mile away. We even heard one of you say 'Mari's Cousin', which could only be her. The conversation- argument, rather- became much clearer when we got to the door, but we just went in, (Y/N) first and me behind. That's why you heard me first, but saw (Y/N). But you two were going at it. What-or who- were you talking about?" Ian said, exchanging his gaze from Wes to me respectively. I was hoping he wouldn't bring that up for fear that it would hit a nerve in Wes. However, Wes took it surprisingly well, speaking before I even began.
"Honestly, Ian? We were arguing about (Y/N), actually. I forget how we actually got on the topic, but we were arguing about who would be the better... Boyfriend, I guess. We exchanged words, very loudly I guess, but we didn't think anyone would hear."
"You didn't think anyone would hear you? China could hear you." Ian said. "Thank you for telling me, though. Now I know the whole story..."
*Your POV, Editing Office*
"(Y/N)! You were working! After Dr. Riley and I said you couldn't!" Lasercorn fumed. He was only playfully mad... But I could tell he was truly worried.
"Lasercorn, I'm sure Dr. Riley didn't know that my job is playing video games and editing. She meant hard labor, or continuous use of my body in any jarring physical way. Playing games is not work. Anthony was telling me about the time Ian hit his head on a wall and got a concussion. Ian played games almost the whole time, and he's fine now. So am I." I retaliated.
"Just... you can't do anything where you have to move fast. I'm not taking any chances with you. I've had enough people injured while I'm around in my life... I don't want to add you to the list twice." Lasercorn sat down and ran a hand through his bright orange hair. He looked at me, and searching those brown eyes, I saw guilt somewhere.
"Lasercorn. What is this about? Who do you know that got hurt recently? You know my concussion wasn't that serious, and even if it was- you weren't around to stop it so it isn't your fault." I looked at him as he sighed and said,
"You brought up the Ian story. For that time, I was there. We were just finished filming and then an accident happened and out of all of us, Ian ended up hurt. Hearing that you got hurt in almost the same way... I just cracked. Ian was there too, so he knows. Sabrina almost got a head injury as well a couple years back... I just need to know that the people closest to my heart are safe all the time." He looked at his hands and then back up at me. I smiled and said,
"For anything you might feel is your fault, you are forgiven. Even though you didn't do anything. And it's nice to know that in this short space of time I've become close to your heart." I got up from my chair, gave him a hug, and then left and waved to Lasercorn, who waved back. Mari told me like 20 minutes ago that we had to leave.
*Time Skip, Mari's apartment*
"(Y/N), what'd you say to Lasercorn? He asked me to tell you thank you, even though he knows you know he hasn't forgiven himself. He says you'll know what I'm talking about. What happened?" Mari asked. We'd been talking about Smosh Games (as usual) and Mari had skillfully dodged my subtle question about my concussion incident.
"Oh, nothing. I just talked to him about feeling guilty about my concussion- even though he wasn't there, from the snippets I've heard about it around the office. Anthony had told me a similar story about Ian with what happened to me, and apparently Lasercorn still feels guilty about the whole thing. So we talked and- hey, what are you doing?" Mari had taken up my phone, unlocked it, and started clicking a bunch before setting it back down next to me.
"Here. I put Lasercorn's contact information. Just text him- it'll be easier and I won't be accused of encroaching on your conversations." We both laughed.
"Thanks, Mari."
"Anytime, girl."
Before I went to bed, I texted Lasercorn like Mari suggested.
'Hey Lasercorn, it's (Y/N). I got your message from Mari. And even though you haven't forgiven yourself, I've forgiven you. However, the first step to forgive yourself for this incident (even though you weren't even there) is to forgive yourself from Ian's incident. Text him and talk to him about it. Ian's an understanding guy, and I'm sure he'll know where you're coming from.'
I got a text back seconds later.
'Hey, (Y/N). Thank you again for being so understanding. I know you have forgiven me, and that makes it easier to forgive myself. I'm going to text Ian like you said, and thank you again for your advice. I mean, you're like my guidance counselor. Maybe I should start telling you my problems daily :D'
I laughed at that last part.
'Talk to me tomorrow, and tell me about the thing with Ian. I honestly want to hear about it'
'Sound great! Goodnight, (Y/N).'
'Good night, Lasercorn. Say goodnight to Tyler and Sabrina for me!'
'Will do.'
And the conversation shut off there, as did my phone. My head hit the pillow soon after turning my phone off. But with all the thinking I have to do, it was a long time before I fell asleep.
A/N- Tyler is his child, Sabrina is his wife. Bye now :D
