"(Y/N)!" I hear Mari call from downstairs. "Anthony's here!" I took one last look at myself in the mirror. I wore a blue-green t-shirt, a white hoodie, black jeans, and my white high tops. Satisfied, I bounded down the stairs and ran into the entryway. Anthony was standing there, talking to Mari, dressed in a white beanie, red and black flannel, black jeans, and black shoes. He also had on a silver necklace that swayed about as he moved, and that caught my attention- so much so that I didn't even hear him calling my name until his hand was on my shoulder.

"(Y/N)?" Anthony asked. My eyes met his at once, and I smiled.

"Hey, Anthony! How are you?" I asked.

"I'm great." He replied. "Are you ready to go? We can't be late."

"Oh, you're on a schedule? Off you go, then!" Mari exclaimed, leading us to the door. "You two have fun, okay?" I laughed at how much she sounded like my mother.

"Okay, Mom."

"And you, sir." Mari said jokingly. "You have her back here by 11:00 the latest or you'll have me to answer to, got it?" Anthony, Mari, and I laughed as we headed out. Just before we left, Mari yelled out,

"That wasn't a joke!" And then closed the door behind her.

"Okay, now you can add your butter, milk, and eggs to the salt, sugar, and flour." Kadence called out. She was the cooking instructor of the hour, and she's teaching us how to make crepes.

"Anthony, how'd you even find out about this?" I asked, turning to him while cracking an egg into the bowl. "I've never heard of a couples cooking class... But it's really cute! I like it."

"Yeah, I thought you would. I've wanted to do one for awhile, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make it happen." He replied. He, too, took an egg and cracked it into the bowl. I added the milk to the bowl, and Anthony added the butter.

"Alright! Have one person stir the batter until it's smooth. You should see little bubbles on top of the batter." Kadence yelled out the next direction. Anthony picked up the wooden mixing spoon and started to mix the batter. After a couple of seconds, thought, his eyes wandered from the bowl to me. I stared back at him before saying with a smile,

"Anthony, I think it's done. Be careful or-" I was cut off by a clump of batter flying out of the bowl and onto my apron. Anthony had been mixing the batter rather aggressively, and now it's all over my apron. I looked back up at the brown haired goofball, who's mouth was hanging open.

"Oh my gosh, (Y/N), I did not mean for that to happen!" He exclaimed. I said nothing, and simply looked down at the splotch of batter that was on the right side of my apron. I looked at it for a second before quickly scooping it up and flinging it back at Anthony, who was still in shock. I snickered at the batter landed square in the middle of his apron, covering up the letter K embroidered on it. Reacting quickly, Anthony flung another small glob of batter at me. I took a little piece of butter and threw it back. He managed to catch it and lob it back at me, which I dodged, laughing as I did so.

"Okay, stop, stop!" I said, still laughing. "We're going to have no batter left for the cooking part." Anthony held up his hands, signaling a truce. I did the same, and we shut up in just enough time to hear Kadence say,

"Alright. Now, you can cook your batter and make it into a proper crepe. Make sure you do it just as I demonstrated at the beginning, and you'll have yourself a nice plate of them by the time you're done." With that, Anthony and I set to work , measuring the batter and pouring it, flipping the crepes to the other side and putting the finished ones onto a plate. We laughed and talked as we worked, making jokes about everything and talking about everything. We managed to keep our aprons clean after our mini food fight, but we did end up eating some fruit along the way that was set aside for the end of the class.

"Alright, if your'e done cooking, you can add fruit to your plates for an extra bit of ambiance, and you're done! Thank you all so much for attending my class. I hope you see you all soon." Kadence said, and then got to work collecting aprons. When she came to us, Anthony and I both handed her our aprons, which she seemed not to notice were covered in uncooked crepe. I snickered, just thinking about what had happened, and I saw Anthony smiling out of the corner of my eye.

"Let's go," Anthony laughed, "Before she notices." And with that, he grabbed our crepes and fruit, which were now in a cute little box, and we left Kadence's Cooking Emporium together.

*Time Skip*

"Anthony, I've lived here for awhile and I've never seen this place. How do you find it?" I turned to him, and he picked up a strawberry and looked at it before replying,

"I don't know... I guess I find the best places when I'm not actually looking for them." He bit into his strawberry. I took a berry of my own, biting into it and chewing thoughtfully. I put one foot on the ground and pushed off, making the swing move back and forth once again. Satisfied with the smooth rocking, I leaned back against the wicker seat, staring down at the beach and sand in front of Anthony and I. He, too, leaned back against the chair. I turned to him, using my need for a crepe as an excuse to study his features. His wavy brown hair moved back in the wind ever so slightly every time we swung forward. His chocolate eyes were never still, always assessing what was before him. A slight smile danced across his lips as he watched the calm, blue waves lap against the shore. My eyes shifted back to the ocean, and we stayed like that for awhile, swinging in comfortable silence.

*Anthony's POV*

Every now and then, my eyes dart over to (Y/N). Her (E/C) eyes are staring over the horizon, assessing the sun's every move as it starts to dip below the sea. Her (H/C) hair moved with the rocking of the swing, and the breeze would whip by and tousle it sometimes. Her feet dangle lightly from the swing, swaying back and forth in the grass and sending the petals of dandelions sailing on the breeze.

"Hey, Anthony, can we go for a walk?" (Y/N) asked suddenly. It took me a second to clear my thoughts and answer her, but I replied,

"Of course." I got up from the swing, taking off my shoes and socks and leaving them on the wicker chair. (Y/N) got up and did the same, and then beckoned for me to follow her. We ran across the grass, slowing only for a second when the grass turned to sand. We both slowed down once we reached the water, and (Y/N) rolled up her jeans and walked just where the tide came in. I took her hand, unsure of what she would do, and was shocked when she squeezed my hand tighter than I was already holding hers. I looked at her, and she smiled at me. The sun dipped further below the horizon, and the lighting cast shadows along the shore. My shadow and (Y/N)'s intertwined, being one person and two people at the same time. I smiled, pleased with.... With everything.

*Time Skip, Your POV*

"Bye Anthony!" I waved as he walked down the hall, and only shut the door when I couldn't see him anymore. I stared at the closed door in front of me, still smiling.

"So, how'd it go?" Mari asked. I turned to her, my smiled widening.

"Fantastic."
