Asriel's POV
"Chaaaarrraaaa!" I complained. "Stop sleeping! You're supposed to be watching for humans!" Chara opened one eye, then closed it.
"Sorry, Rei. Just takin' a nap." Chara said. I growled under my breath."You know I hate that name!" I yelled at her. Chara mumbled something under her breath. She opened her eyes.
"Well, you've goat to get used to it." Chara said with a wink, and a small smile. I stomped my feet.
"CHARA!" I yelled. I spun around and walked away. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her smile fade. She leaned against her post and fell asleep again. I kept going.
It was just the fact she couldn't make any more puns.

Chara's POV (A couple days later)
"It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming. On days like these, mirrors like you..." I paused and my eyes went red. "S H O U L D B E B U R N I N G I N H E L L!" I sent knives at the human. He had reset, and went on a genocide run.
As usual.
I dodged his attack. "What, you think I'm just gonna stand there and take it?" I asked. I was wearing my brother's rainbow bandana, as I had found his dust in the snow. Wonder how many times that's happened by now? Five? Ten? A hundred? I've lost count. The fight continued, though I already knew the outcome. Why did I even bother going against the human? What was the point?
I stopped. It was my turn. The human looked at me expectantly.
"Go ahead." I sighed. I didn't care. May as well just get it done and over with then waste my energy, right? Not that I had much, anyways. The human grinned and slashed at me. 999999 damage. I fell to my knees, holding the wound. "S- See ya next r- reset." I said shakily. I felt myself lose consciousness.
Then as expected, I woke up in my bed in my house. I heard Rei making star cookies downstairs. I just stayed where I was. There wasn't a reason to go out to my station and watch for humans. I knew exactly what was going to happen each and every time.
I stared at the ceiling and counted the seconds to when Rei would come bursting through my door, yelling at me to wake up.

"Chara! You are supposed to be downstairs and getting ready to go to your station!" Asriel ran into my room, yelling.
"I was thinkin' I take a break today. And tomorrow. And the day after that. And after that." I said, closing my eyes.
"Chara?" Asriel walked over. "You are usually pretty lazy, but not this lazy. What is it?" Asriel asked.
"Nah, I'm fine. Nothing's wrong." I lied, sitting up as I opened my eyes. "I bet a human'll come."
"You really think so?" Asriel asked, hope sparking in his eyes.
"Yeah. And you'll be the one to capture him. And mom'll let you join the royal guard." I said. I left out the actual truth, though.
The human will just slay you and leave your bandana in the snow, as always.
