**** Tina was going through the evidence box from the Mires case, when True Wolf dropped another on the table next to her.
"Deputy Wolf, is this all of it?"
True lifted a brow in answer. Tina opened the new box and froze, "Oh crap! I need the other case files now!"
True nodded and left the room. When he returned both he and another Deputy carried two boxes each. When they placed the evidence on the table, Tina immediately dove into each box. True Wolf watched as she lay each playing card side by side. His eyes grew wide as the pattern began to make itself appearent.
"Wait, the date on each card... they are all the same. Except for the year."
Tina nodded, "Yeah. They are all on Tany's birthday."
***
"What?" Brittany asked as she held her cell between herself and her husband. "T, are you sure about this?"
Tina nodded into the screen. "Yes. Each murder was on your birthday. So each murder began a year apart, then a few months, and now every few weeks. Each victom looks a lot like you. This one, Sally Jackson was the most recent. Last month actually. Sally was a brunette, but she had the blue eyes and small build. So the killer bleached her hair."
Brittany looked at Gabriel in disbelief, "Until now they have all been natural blondes. She's changing her M.O. Something changed, and we need to know what."
The Agent nodded, "That was before the Sanders killing in St. Louis. She must have needed the kill. There may not have been any girls that fit her type at the time, so she made one. It was the only way she could get her fix. She's full filling a fantasy of her's. I believe that without the blonde hair she is unable to reach her peak." Then to Tina, "You said that the last girl was a bottle blonde. Was that before or after death? What I mean is, did the victom do it herself, or was if done by the unsub?"
The Detective checked the autopsy report, "Not by the victom. The skin around her face and on the neck was died as well... She also had some defensive wounds on her hands and arms. A few broken fingers, dislocated shoulder. Broken ribs, nose. This pore girl was beaten to death. Her tox screen came back clean. She put up quit the fight before the killer finally cut her throat."
Gabriel froze, "Send me the crime scene photos. I need to get a feel for how her mind was working at the time."
True Wolf stepped into the screen, "That may take a while, sir. I'll have to scan them all first, and there are seven unsolved cases here. Each of them with the same M.O. Except for the Jackson case. That one is the only one that is different."
Brittany nodded, "Have Tina help you. We need to get this show on the road, True."
The Deputy nodded, "Yes, ma'am. I'll call some of the boys in." With that he disappeared from view.
Tina shook her head at the screen, "Really, Tany. This just keeps getting worse. Four years in Homicide and I have never seen anything like this. I mean she didn't just torture these girls, she butchered them. The organs are all removed the same way you would those of a dere. The killer even removes the esophagus, and intestines. What kind of person are we dealing with?"
Brittany sighed, "Without looking at all the files we can't give you an accurate profile, but as of right now... She is a white female in her early to mid-twenties. She suffers from mild to servere schizophrenia. She servived a great deal of physical and psychological abuse as a child. She also has severe obsessive compulsive disorder. Since she had no control as a child this is how she makes up for that. She tries to control everything in her life. That is why she keeps the water clean at all times. She is very delibrite with everything she does. She never makes a move without planning it first. Killing Sally Jackson shows that her control is slipping. Right now she is more dangerous than she was before. She will need to get her control back."
Gabriel nodded, "That means that she will be looking for her next target. In the past she most likely stalked her victoms for some time. Learning their movements. Even coming face to face with them, and making friends. She tried that with Charity. But, now that she no longer has this control, she will become more unpredictable. Although she most likely will be laying low for now. She won't want to be noticed until the time is right for her. That is unless an opportunity presents itself. If she is driving it will be an older model vehical. Something inconspicuous, like an old beat-up pickup."
Tina thought for a long minute, "Okay. I think it's time you told me who she is, Gabriel."
Brittany looked up at her husband, who nodded. "It's time. They also need a photo of what she used to look like."
Brittany was in full agreement and returned her attention to the screen. "Her name is Sadie Ivanov. She is Gabriel's little sister. She tried for us seven years ago. The whole ranch was attacked."
Tina showed no signs of being surprised, instead she nodded. "I had a feeling. I also know that there's something you're not telling me, Tany. When you're ready I'm here for you."
Brittany smiled, "Yeah, I know. Thanks, T."
The other Detective smiled, "What are friends for? Now Detective Wolf called the Sheriff and got permission to releace the evidence to us. So I'll leave town tonight and be back at the ranch in..." she looked at her watch, "three or four hours. I want to check out a few of the murder locations on my way. I'll take some photos."
Gabriel nodded, "Alright, but be careful. Sadie could've put a tail on you."
Tina nodded, "Don't worry. I won't be alone. I'll call you when I'm almost there."
With that the screen went black.
