**** Gabriel and True Wolf both lay side by side looking over a high ridge. Sixty feet below them was an old jailhouse, overgrown with vines. Two big men walked around the building, M-16s ready to fire.

Gabriel took a closer look through his binoculars, and grimaced. He knew both of those men. They were two of his father's most vicious enforcers. Both took great joy in their jobs, expecially when it came to the women.

The former mobster lifted the brow of his good eye the question plain to see.

True Wolf shook his head and whispered, "I've lived here all my life. Hunting, fishing, tracking and riding on this land, but I've never seen this place."

Gabriel could almost feel the other man's confusion. "Then how did they find it? Come to think of it... how did we find it?"

True shook his head one more time. "Most of Wolf Mountain is uncharted territory. My people stay clear of the White Wolf's land. Come, we can't stay long. We will anger the Wolf Spirit."

Gabriel couldn't believe what he was hearing. "I thought you were..."

True Wolf smiled as they made their way back to the horses. "I go to churse, but I also respect my ancestors. The Creator put us all here for a reason. Who am I to question his will?"

Gabriel shook his head, "You just did a full 360 on me."

True Wolf turned to look the huge man in the eye. "My father is African American. He's a retired Navy SEAL. They called him Mouse. My mother Native American, in fact she was before Sheriff before Kyle. They raised to be open minded."

The former Ranger nodded his understanding. "That explains a lot about you. Now, how about we get this job done, and go home."

The Deputy nodded. "Me with you Kemosabe."

Sadie gleared at the Strike Agent with hatred shinning in her eyes. The more he laughed the redder her face got, until a slow smile crossed her lips.

'Uh-oh. Tha-at's not good.' He thought as she took a step towards him.

"You know, Valentin. I was thinking about having you sire my child. After all, the Ivanov family need's an heir. However, after today you won't be able to produce any children."

Brittany felt the menace vibrating in the air. With each step the young mobster took the closer Valentin came to loosing his life.

The undercover Agent returned that smile, "You couldn't have saddled me in the first place." His grin widened, "There's only one filly that can tame this stallion."

Brittany's jaw dropped at the statement, 'Has he lost his mind?!'

The look on Sadie's face was humorous. She looked as if she couldn't believe what she'd just heard. Then her expression changed from stunned to that of rage. Her hand moved so fast Brittany wasn't sure what had happened.

One second the dagger was in her hand, and the next it was in Valentin's chest. The man never made a sound. Instead he looked down at the weapon, then looked Brittany in the eyes.

She felt the tears fall down her cheeks as he gave her a warm smile. His voice was weak as he spoke.

"Hang in there, mio amico." He said. With those final words, his eyes fluttered closed and his chin dropped to his chest.
(My friend.)

Sadie smiled as she watched his death. How she enjoyed the kill. There was something vigorously wonderful about it. Normally she prefered to take her sweet time killing them, but this kill tasted sweeter than most for some strange reason.

Brittany never took her eyes from Valentin's. He gave her one last wink before allowing his eyes to close. She cried out in grief as his chin dropped to his chest and his body went limp.

Sadie laughed, and spun to face her lone surviving prisoner. "See, I have no problem killing you. However, I want that baby of your's alive."

With that she left the cell.

Brittany sobbed as she called out to her friend, praying that he was still alive.

"Valentin, I know you're still alive. Please, you have to wake up... I can't do this alone."

When she got no answer she began to shake with sobs so powerful they racked her entire body. 'Who am I kidding. Even if he were still alive he couldn't hear me anyway. God, I beg of you. Please, send help.'

Sadie stepped out of her shower, and began to rub the rose scented lotion into her skin. It had taken her thirty-five minutes of scrubbing to get the smell of vomit out of her skin and hair.

She was just laying down for some sleep when one of the guards knocked on the door.

"Ma'am..."

"I told you not to disturb me in my rooms!" She snapped.

"Forgive me, ma'am. But, the outside guards are not responding to our hails."

Sadie froze, "What did you just say?" She swung the door open to looked up at the man, "Say that again."

He winced but did as commanded, "The patrolling guards aren't answering their walkies. We also can't find them on the cameras."

"Well,  find them!" She bellowed.

Back outside, one of the guards rounded the corner and stopped to listen. He stood there for a long moment and was about to start another round when a large hand covered his mouth and jerked his head back.

Gabriel slammed the ten inch blade into his victim's heart before twisting and removing it all in one swift motion. The enforcer was dead before his body ever hit the ground. Gabriel stiffened when he felt the gun barrel bite into his back. He grinned, when a thud filled his ears, followed by the sound of a body dropping the ground. Gabriel turned and looked down at the injured enforcer. His grin widened at the sight of an arrow protruding from the man's right butt cheek.

The enforcer screamed as the shaft was ripped from the wound. "Shut your mouth, before I shut it for you!"

Fear filled the assassin at the sound of that voice, 'I know that voice. No, not him...'

He bit back the cry of pain when Brick flipped him over. Gabriel stood out against the darkening sky. The one violet eye glared at the frightened enforcer. The other eye was like that of a demon. It stood out against the dark skin... white, scarred, terrifying. It blinked, completely disappeared then opened as if a spotlight searching for it's victim. The demon eye sent terror up and down the assassin's spine. The venom he heard in the larger man's voice magnified the fear until he was quaking.

"Hello, Victor. Where... is... my... wife!"
