**** The whole Blanton family had gathered in the main house to hear what Brittany had to announce. Gabriel stood at her side lending his own support. When Brittany dropped the bomb about their marriage and the baby, he could have sworn he heard a pin drop.
Beau, Drina, and the rest of the Blanton's sat there in utter shock. Gabriel could feel his wife's distress as she leaned into his side.
'Lord, give me the strength I need to get through this ordeal. And the wisdom to understand your will. Amen.' She sent the prayer into the heavens.
When Beau finally got his wits about him, he stood to face the large man. "There is only one thing I can say."
Brittany jumped between her father and husband, "Daddy, before you go on. We had our reasons for not telling you. We were waiting for it to be safe to have a real wedding. I love him, daddy!"
Gabriel was touched by his little wife's defense, but no way was he going to let her protect him. That was his job. So with one swift motion he smoothly stepped in front of her and crossed his powerful arms.
When that one violet orb met the deep blue, "Sir, I know this must come as a shock to both you and your family. For that I'm sorry, but I promise you... I love my wife. She is the sole reason I wake up every morning, and I will do everything in my power to keep both her and our baby safe and happy. If it is God's will that I trade my life for their's then I will gladly pay it."
Beau studdied the younger man for a long moment, then turned to his wife. When Drina smiled at him the rancher knew just what to say.
"There is only one thing I can say..." Cobalt blue eyes met Gabriel's single violet orb. There Beau could see the fear of rejection, the fear for Brittany, and most of all. The fear that they would reject the baby.
Beau smiled and held his hand out to his newest son. "I expect that you'll keep my daughter happy, son."
Brittany could feel her husband relax as he took the offered hand. The relief she herself felt nearly knocked her off her feet. As she was now receiving congratulations from friends and family, she truely realized just how blessed she really was.
She placed her hand protectively over her baby, 'How lucky we are to have a family like this one.'

Gabriel dismounted Ares' back, and handed Brittany the reins.
"No wonder Sherlock couldn't get any picture." He said, "Someone shot the hidden cameras."
Brittany instinctively placed her hand over her belly protectively. "How many cameras are down?"
The Agent stood and shook his head, "To many. Sherlock did say that half his screens for this paddock are black. So until we fix this... we're blind."

Sadie smiled as the two riders came into veiw. "That's right. Come to the spider my little flies."
"Valentin, I want that girl. Alive and unharmed." She cast the man a menacing look. "Not a scratch! Do I make myself clear?"
"I understand."
She gave him a nasty smile, "You had better my friend. Or, you'll be my next toy!"
Valentin felt the ice form in his veins. Keeping the girl alive, and not blowing his cover would not be easy.

Brittany lowered her walkie and turned, "Dad says that another letter just came in. He wants us up at the security lodge ASAP."
The Agent nodded, "Good. Next time we come out here, we bring back up."
"I agree. Something about this situation just doesn't feel right."

After testing the blood stain on the stationary True Wolf slipped the letter into a clear bag. "The lab will have to test it, but I'm pretty sure the blood is human."
"You ever seen a letter writen in blood before?"
The Deputy shook his head, "No. I was hopin' you had."
Tina shivered, "I've been in Homicide for four years, and I've never had a case like this before. I mean how can this woman be related to Gabriel? He may be hard to understand at first, but he is a really cool guy when you get to know him."
True shook his head, "I didn't study psychology like Tany, and Brick did. What I can tell you is that Brick is not havin' an easy time with this. No matter what she does he still loves his little sister." He took her hand in his own, "But, with that said, he won't shirk his duty."
Tina looked into those deep brown eyes and smiled, "You know, you're really sweet when you let your guard down."
Just like that she saw the sheild lower into place, "I should get this to the lab." Then he pulled his hand away and left the room.
The Detective looked down at the hand he had just held. She could still feel the warmth of his touch. Something else as well. Now that Deputy Wolf was gone she felt empty, as if he had taken a part of her with him.
She shook her head, 'Don't go there, T girl. You can't fall for that guy. It doesn't matter if he has those big puppy dog eyes. He's still a jerk.' She sighed, "A totally hot jerk, with muscles to die for."
"I knew you had a thing for True Wolf."
Tina spun around to find Brittany and Gabriel standing in the door way.
She shook her head so hard her long braids flew from side to side. "No! You've got the wrong idea, Tany. It's not like that."
The newlyweds grinned at eachother, "Oh, reeeeaaaallllllly? Then why don't you explain at dinner. For now where is my father-in-law?" Gabriel asked.
