i pushed open the door to reveal the big sky. i stepped onto the roof and watched jimin gawk at how we got a view of the whole city. jimin walked to the side, almost at the edge. i felt as if he was going to jump or fall off the roof, so i held tightly onto his hands. he must've felt my hands tense up so he backed away from the edge.

"beautiful, isn't it?"

jimin kept silent, not saying a single thing. the one thing i noticed was that he was smiling. plastered right across his face was a big toothy smile as he felt the wind blow through his brown hair. i felt myself smiling as i saw how peaceful he looked, unlike yesterday. we stayed like that for who knows how long. i watched him as he peacefully watched the traffic happen right below us.

he gazed at me once in a while, almost like he couldn't comprehend what was happening. he pointed at his heart and smiled at me. i didn't get what he was saying at first. he then proceeded to take my hand and put it on his chest. i felt the slow beating of his heart. i looked up at him to see him mouthing the words,

"thank you."

that was the first time jimin smiled.
