MASON POV
I walked out of Mrs Juniors room and tried to process what just happened. That pretty popular looking girl...whats her name... Amanda was smiling at me. Was she trying to flirt with me? I mean I did smile back, right? Shit. What if she thought I was ignoring her.
I walked to my dorm room deep in thought. Not just about Amanda but about this whole place. There is an air of mystery around this place. It's weird, you can practically feel it.
My old school was nothing like this. It was a school for nerds pretty much. It was called The American School for Special Children. Most of us just called it ASS though. I'm not special aids, I don't even know why I went there. All the classes were really easy so I got all As. But this was in America. Everything was better there. My annoying step dad had to get a stupid transfer.
The only good thing about this is that Carver has a champion tennis team. Tennis has been my sport for as long as I can remember. ASS didn't provide any sports. So I guess...sometimes change is good.
I continued walking around the school lost. Ian would've walked me but he had fashion club and he didn't want to miss it. I continued dazed through the halls. What dorm was my room in again? I saw a sign on the door that said Delta. Stupid Latin names!
I headed down that hall and bumped into a small girl. "Sorry." I said, "I didn't see you there."
"Whatever." replied Jay... I think. She walked down the hall the opposite direction. Jay turned around "By the way these are GIRL dorms."
Oh. Ok then. I turned around and walked down the next hall to the left. Is this right? I kept going until I found a door. Without looking at the sign, I walked in. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!
I saw Amanda and her cheerleader friends getting in their uniforms. Wow! She has an amazing body. I mean I guess cheerleading must get her all muscled and stuff. I turned around quickly before anyone saw me but Amanda did. Shit. She must think I'm some pervert.
She opened the door and saw me in the hall and motioned me over.
"You need to be more careful. You could have been caught." she smiled.
I smiled back. "Sorry. I'm new here and I don't really know where my dorm is."
Amanda looked surprised, "Wouldn't Ian have walked you back. That's very unlike him." She smacked her head lightly,"Oh yeah! He has fashion club! I forgot, sorry."
"It's fine." I said kinda shy.
I guess she digged it because she asked, "Do you maybe want me to help you get back to your room? I know where it is."
I was about to answer until a giant guy in a football jersey ran and put his arm around Amanda. He had a nice Mohawk type hairstyle.
"Hey. Manders!" he said.
Anger was welling inside me. I can't believe she has a boyfriend. Well I do. She is gorgeous. How could she not? But seriously. Was she flirting with me in front of him? Damn.
My feelings were answered when she said "This is Puck. He's my older brother. A senior. Puck this is Mason. He's in my language arts class."
"Are you that new American kid?" he asked. Eyebrows furrowing.
"Yeah. But look I got to go. See you later." I ran off.
I could faintly hear Amanda yell bye as I ran from my feelings.
