MOLLY POV

I heard loud screams coming from the room next door. "YOU HAPPY IM GONNA GO DO MY F*****G HOMEWORK IN PEACE!" Dang. Who's screaming that loud? I can't practice for my lead role in the musical with that racket going on.

By the way, I will be performing the role of Alphaba in the classic broadway musical. My character is the girl who ends up becoming the Wicked Witch of the West. I have been practicing for weeks already and I can't get enough of this show. Unfortunately the rest of my theatre club doesn't have the same "enthusiasm" as I do. They have the nerve to complain about the amount of singing. Ugh!

Outside I heard another slam as something hit the wall. And being as dramatic as I am, I swung the door open with a flurish. I looked down at Jay, the school recluse. I asked her if she wanted to join me and surprisingly she said yes. So of course, I let her in not knowing what to do except to jump up and down. That's kinda what I do when I'm nervous.

It was weird having another person in the room with me. I have been alone in my room ever since my last roommate moved out. Obviously it was because she was jealous of my singing ability despite what others think.

Finally I asked, "Would you like to hear me sing? I'm working on Wicked right now."

A smile started on her face, "That's actually my favorite musical. Can I maybe sing the harmony for the song For Good with you?" she asked shyly.

"Sure why not?" I cheered. I ran to my radio and pushed the number 18. I pressed play and ran to stand beside her. Slowly the music began. Wow! Jay can really sing!

"Because I knew you. I have been changed for good."

I continued, "And because I knew you."

OMG! She even hit Glinda's highest note. Ms. Harmony would really be impressed. Maybe? Should I?

"Jay."

"Yes. What's up?"

"I was wondering if maybe... you would try out for Glinda. I mean we don't really have anyone to play her yet and you can even hit her highest note! That would also mean we can see each other more and become better friends! And even..."

"If I say yes, will you shut the hell up?"

"Mmm hmm."

"Alright. Whatevs."

"Eeeeee!" I squealed and grabbed Jay's hands and we jumped up and down together. Well I jumped, she kinda bounced slightly.

"Meet me at the Drama room after class, ok?"

"Alright. See ya!" she said quietly as she left. So this is what it feels like to have someone like you for you. I like this feeling. It's nice.
